Mata Kushmanda 🪷
सुरासम्पूर्णकलशं रुधिराप्लुतमेव च । दधाना हस्तपद्माभ्यां कूष्माण्डा शुभदास्तु मे ॥
The fourth day is dedicated to the goddess Kushmanda:
'Ku' = a little;
'ushman' = 'warmth';
'anda' = 'the cosmic egg!'
She is considered as creator of the entire universe. The universe was no more than a void full of darkness, until her light spreads in all directions like rays from the sun. She rides a lion and has eights hands in which she holds Kamandal, bow, arrow, a jar of Amrita, discus, mace and a lotus, and in one hand she holds a rosary which blesses her devotees with all Riddhis and Siddhis.
Does premras apply to goddesses as well ...? (for both men and women?)
There isn't set of rules that says premaras is only for male deities. Prema-ras or Essence of Love can be felt towards any deity or multiple deities at the same time. If we're talking about Goddesses, I'm going to take Mata Durga for example, there's mentions of her speaking to her devotees - that she shall accept worship in any form that one can offer, so, to me, there's no wrong way to offer Bhakti towards goddesses (as mata Durga is form of primordial goddess Ma AdiShakti)
So Yes! Premras and Madhuya Bhav in bhakti is applicable to any deity as long as you feel it! Have fun.
Also, it doesn't matter whether you're a man or a woman, the way I understand it, is that Bhakti is offered by the soul - which is genderless to Bhagwan who is beyond gender.
