      ❛   you give me a damn heart attack every game, sunny. ❜    he was back at the hollenbeck home where they were alone. it was almost easier to be himself in this place than his own home. there was always at least two people home at once and being in the maguire house with ares made him paranoid unless everyone was asleep. he looked up at the boy sitting on the counter as he pulled the alcohol swabs and bandages towards himself.        ❛   i mean –– couldn’t you have picked up golf or something. ❜    he opened an alcohol pad as he dabbed it slightly on the gash on the other’s bicep. he had shoulder pads, yes, but that didn’t help much when a player was able to swing a stick anywhere and everywhere they wanted. the alcohol stung, he knew, but at this point it was the only thing keeping the dirty wound not infected.        ❛   oh it doesn’t hurt that bad. don’t be a baby flynn. ❜    he mumbled as he pulled some gauze from the first aid kit and placed it on his arm. only five minutes later had he moved on to a few cuts on the boy’s cheek.        ❛   you wear a mask ares –– how in the hell did this happen? ❜    the cleaning routine was the same as the arm, but when he finished with the bandaid, teddy couldn’t help but lean forward and press a small peck to the boy’s cheek before doing the same to his lips.        ❛   you’re lucky battle scars make you look hotter. ❜
