Material (In)Formation
This week we worked on fabrics and made our own weave using a loom. Using a laser cut loom board I created a warp then using other yarns created a weft, The result was a weaved pattern that was special for each person.

Finally, the Robopet.
My robopet acts as a needy puppy in some ways. There is a camera mounted to the top of the pet which detects faces by using your nose as the detection point, this is then transferred onto a screen which determines the position of your face according to the screen. Depending on whether your face is on the left or right side of the screen, it will rotate the servo to turn the wheels left or right. The two front wheels are the directional wheels that are connected to the servo and steers the rest of the robot. The two back wheels are connected to 2 DC motors which powers the robot to move forward. This makes the pet follow you around, just like a needy puppy. :)

For the next phase, we used scissor structures and Arduino to create our own robots. We picked 3 different patterns and created a scissor linkage to fit into that pattern.
