Just read another great young tim fanfic and got inspired to write a little short prompt on how I would feel the situation could play out. (I also posted this short in the comments of that fic, so if it feels familiar that’s probably why.)
This is also one of the fics where Barbara feels maternal feelings for young Timmy so the little silly prompt I wrote is a reflection of that.
Barbara to Bruce “I want at least partial custody.”
Bruce “…. You have no experience or resources though?!”
Barbara “unlike you, I do have friends and a family who will support me. You gonna tell dad that you took the opportunity to be a grandpa from him? Let me know how that works out.”
Bruce “we both will have shared custody tomorrow morning, we can work out the schedule later……”
Barbara “very smug look on her face.” “I’ll contact my friends and my dad informing them of the situation and I’m gonna make preparations and start a list about possible custody arrangements we would both agree on.” “Walks away with a hop in her step.”
Bruce “sags down in chair.” “That somehow went better and worse than expected.”
