The pivotal moment in Mateusz Urbanowicz artist career was an art book with Japanese storefronts. The publisher was very impressed with his contribution and decided to feature his painting on the back cover. Whereas, the front cover was made by famous art director Yamamoto Nizo.

“Mateusz Urbanowicz” is the only person in the Your Name anime credits listed with his Polish name. The rest of the credits are in Japanese. In the upcoming podcast episode, he reveals how it came to be.
