An idea for the plot of a game I’m making
>You start the game inside your own dream one morning
>In this dream, you've been called to your high school, which is actually your church >The church has been overrun by cultists in robes of various colors >You start out in the sanctuary and fight your way through the hallway to get to the gym on the other side of the church >Once you reach the gym, you come across someone who appears to be the leader of the cult, saying something about bringing back the "Christchamp" >You kick his ass and wake up from the dream in your bedroom, at which point your mom tells you to go to school
>Once at school, your homeroom teacher gives you an assignment: pick an animal native to North Carolina and explain why you're kin with that animal >You finish the assignment, and gym class starts >Santa Claus is your gym teacher, and today's unit: quarterstaff fighting. >You battle Santa, and hopefully win >Later, JonTron goes on the intercom and tells everyone in the school to evacuate, but he looks nothing like how the real JonTron looks, save for his curly hair
>You evacuate, and end up in front of the local Walmart >You regroup with several of your friends and discuss the Christchamp >One of them says that he heard the government is plotting to kill the Christchamp as soon as they were born >You tell him that it's stupid, because "how can you know who the Christchamp is until the octanium lead starts to rise?"
>The octanium lead starts to rise right next to you >You kick their asses and start to head home
>On your way home, you notice several children playing in the street >They're all cosplaying as chess pieces >You ask why they're doing that >Today is Math Day. You must have forgotten that! >You watch them for a bit and they start to get in a fight >After a bit of fighting, they start to walk away, towards a large castle across the street you didn't notice before >You enter the castle, fighting through hordes of Pawns, Knights, Bishops and Rooks >Eventually you meet the King and Queen of the castle and kick their asses >On your way out of the castle, you head back to your house across the street
>You wake up again, revealing that all the events at school and in the castle were a dream as well >You decide to head downstairs and enter the Midnight Channel >When you do, you end up in an area that resembles a dank, musty basement with carpeted floors and a sort of ugly yellow-white paint on the walls >At the bottom of the basement, you meet Shadow Pac-Man, recite Here Comes Pac-Man together, and kick his ass >In the room there are several arcade machines, including one for Ms. Pac-Cube, which only has one button >The Reaper appears, so you don’t have much time to actually explore
To be continued

Happy math day, everyone!
On this day exactly one year ago, May 4th, 2020, I dreamt that I was walking home from school and saw a bunch of kindergarteners dressed as chess pieces playing in the street next to my house. When I asked them why they were doing that, they told me it was math day. I watched them a bit longer and they started fighting. I pulled out my phone to record the fight, but it was out of space, so I started deleting things to try and make room. By the time I was done, though, the chess piece kids stopped fighting and started to walk away into this giant castle across the street from my house. I tried to get a still photo of them before they were gone but every picture I took was more blurry than the last. In a last ditch effort to get evidence of their existence, I ran outside, but was stopped by my mother on our front porch. I went back inside and walked upstairs to my room, and was attacked by a glitch Pokemon. I then sent out a glitch Pokemon of my own to battle it and its only attack was to summon this weird blue dude to noclip through everything it touched.
In honor of this dream, I hereby declare May 4th to be Math Day, and it’s celebrated by getting together with your friends, dressing up in chess piece costumes and fighting in the street, as well as filming those fights and taking blurry still pictures of them.
