Friend, yesterday: [topics in applied class] is going to be interesting. We sat in a circle today.
Me, today: [topics in math education class] was fun. We discussed sitting in a circle but didn't today. We will in the future though.
#these were two conversations i had with the same person if that wasnt clear#for those unaware: topics classes is where a professor gets to teach some random topic that's too niche/obscure/etc to be a regular course#math departments will generally have one course number (at the grad level) for each major subfield in the department#(at least thats how the math depts ive been at do it. you could have one course number with multiple sections. each a different topic)#seven stories#math ed
