i think what people mean when they say they "hate math" isn't really math, it's the feeling of being stuck in a problem where you know there is a path forward but you can't see it yet

and you're just supposed to sit with that uncertainty until something clicks

Why did we, as humans, decide to create math?

Of all things, why do we need to count?

Why can’t we just settle for living a simple life where we only have to count to ten and Algebra doesn’t exist. Why must I know how to calculate the mass of the sun on a Partly Cloudy Wednesday when little Timmy down the block decided to eat a cupcake?
