I think you'd really like analysis like in math...it's like going really in depth with calc 1 concepts like continuous functions, differentiation, and integration and to do that we first built an understanding of the real numbers using only the natural (counting) numbers and expanding on that it was crazy

i LOVE it it’s literally the only reason i retain any math i learn if i don’t understand all the thought behind it i literally can’t learn it which is why i always forget logs but i’ll never forget anything where i learned the history and the analysis behind it. i’m so obsessed with that

happy sleepover saturday <3 if this was a real sleepover id probably be messing with makeup so...what're your thoughts on makeup? i think it's fun sometimes but i also think those people who vehemently go "it's self-expression!" and then can't go outside without makeup and do the same looks as everyone else and contour their faces to look like some "ideal"...transparent and embarrassing

i agree with you and also think the wave of including #GirlBoss #Feminist #Empowering language in their marketing along with the shift to focusing on skincare (“natural” beauty juxtaposed with the unnatural flawless standard they’re marketing) has made it more difficult for some crowds to distinguish whether it is for self expression or if that’s just what the instagram ad told them. also i think we should allow more space for straight up saying i put on makeup because i want to impress a specific person or xyz because that’s not like a mortal sin! it’s normal and it’s fine but to lie to yourself and pretend you only put it on for yourself in every single instance.. of course you do everything for yourself but there is always an underlying motivation as well and sometimes you do it for yourself BECAUSE you want to present yourself to the public in a certain way. if i know i’m going to be seeing someone i want to look nice for and i put on mascara it is for myself because what myself wants is to look nice to that person. anyway ur right
