Year 1525 Part 1:

The Scott family started the new year with a few events. Gideon’s youngest sister, Clemence had her 18th birthday and quickly married a local boy named Geoffrey Silversweater moving into his home. Then the household celebrated Francis’ first birthday. 

Next door, the Bell twins also had their birthday to the relief of their family when Elinor successfully lived to see her first year and surprisingly proved to be in better health than Mathias albeit only slightly.

1500-1599 Recap Part 33:

Then Allen died after his birthday from one of the many fires that occurred during the generation. 

Francis, Elinor, and Mathias turned thirteen and then Mathias and Millicent left for Sulani which I was happy for. Millicent was miserable for so long and she deserved some happiness. 

Francis took very little after his mother in my opinion which was both fortunate and unfortunate. I do like to see kids look like a blend of genetics and not just primarily one parent after all.

Extras:

Now that Millicent and Mathias aren’t in the main town anymore, they have been released into the wild of my save lol and I will give important updates like birthdays/weddings/children/deaths but since when I checked Mathias’ preferences he had no preference for anyone (definitely aro/ace) I don’t think there will be too many children (if any) from this branch of the family going forward. Anyways, Millicent finally has a happy relationship with a generated sim named Tori Riddle who has a daughter of her own (Millicent and her are married when I checked in on them) and they are expecting. I’m happy that they’re content with their lives now that my death rolls don’t apply to non family houses (Technically Mathias is family but I’ve decided that fate wasn’t kind to Millicent for most of her young adult life and she should enjoy the rest of it with her wife, son, step-daughter, and new baby. That being said her elder rolls are still going to be in effect since she is still associated with the main household).

Year 1537 Part 2:

Having had considered her plans since before her children were even born, the thought remained in Millicent’s mind about what to do with her children. But when her son revealed that he had no interest in the kind of life he would have in town while Elinor seemed to thrive with the life expected of a young lady it was clear what she should do. 

So after talking with Larissa who loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, Millicent decided that Elinor would live with her Aunt while she and Mathias would return to the islands where her mother came from to start a new life. 

While her twins seemed fine with the arrangement, Millicent tried to keep herself from crying as she bid farewell to her daughter for what was likely to be the last time.

Year 1537 Part 1:

It was time for birthdays yet again in the Scott and Bell households. Francis grew up making his mother proud though she couldn’t help but wish that he stop growing up so quickly. 

Meanwhile in the Bell household it became apparent that Talia’s magic had skipped a generation, ignoring John entirely and blessing Elinor with its gift. Her hair grew in green like the sea which Millicent decided came from her. Now that her children were older, Millicent wondered what would truly be best for the future of her children.

Year 1530 Part 5:

Larissa made sure that Francis at least spent time with his cousins everyday since they were so close both being neighbors and in age. She would teach them their lessons together since Millicent wasn’t able to help on that front.

It came as a surprise to find that both the Bell twins were very clever when it came to their studies making Millicent very glad that Larissa was eager to teach them as well as her own child. 

Simon visited Larissa with news of his own family and that of Thomas and Isabel since it was ridiculous to expect them to make their way down the hill with such a full house and infants. 

The kids growing up, her little brother having his own family, Thomas about to turn thirty, were all signs that time was passing... except Larissa hadn’t changed since she turned eighteen and she never would and soon everyone would notice when she didn’t show signs of age in her mid-thirties. She and Gideon decided it was time to start thinking of a plan to deal with that eventuality.

Year 1530 Part 1:

With the new decade, Francis, Mathias and Elinor all had their birthdays right away growing into healthy children. 

Millicent debated leaving town now that her children were older but without her horrible family guiding her desire to flee, she wondered if leaving would actually do any good for her family. She was happy though that her

Year 1524 Part 5: 

tw/cw: toxic relationship

John’s criminal tendencies had spiraled out of control after the novelty of the twins’ birth wore off. 

It was no surprise to the household when John and Millicent’s arguments turned physical though it only further drew bitterness in Millicent’s eyes when John would come out of it mostly unscathed. Her resolve to leave only strengthened when her father scolded her about making peace in the home and her brother was more concerned about John than her. 

Ever since then John went out of his way to make Millicent more miserable even going as far to toss juice on her to make extra work in getting out the stains from the clothes.
