alright, i have a question:

so some fractals may arise from stereographic projections of spherical and hyperbolic spaces, but those are euclidean projections and only really fractals in our flat geometry. My question is: are there any fractals that can only exist in non-euclidean spaces?

You know how 1 cubic meter of water weighs 1 ton? Which means 100 cubic centimeters of water weighs 1000kg? Shouldn't 10 cubic centimeters of water then weigh 100kg? And wouldn't that be a really heavy little cube of water? And then wouldn't you have 1 cubic centimeter of water weighing 10kg? 😵 What's going on! Help me smart people of tumblr

For anyone worrying about that prizes question on today's maths paper, the answer I got was 1000. ONE THOUSAND.

I feel as though the examiners are going to see that answer and wonder what the hell I am doing with my life.

I have a medically based maths question for this fic I'm writing...

If there is an acceptable range for a medical test result (say 1 to 100 for ease), and said result was in the top half of that range but still close to the median (so somewhere in the 60s in our example), what's the percentile reference on that?  How would the doctor convey this information?
