Hi! My name is Ashley, I have ADHD I was diagnosed in 6th grade; I am now in my late 20’s. I’ve recently started following this blog and other ADHD blogs. I’ve noticed that math is a subject many ADHDers struggle with, and I myself struggled a lot with it until college as well. I now have a degree in math, and teach math. I’d like to offer math help to any ADHDer (or anyone else) at any level. DM me w/ questions or pics of problems and I’ll message back with answers and solutions!

I teach and am a program director at a university. Between semesters/busy times I lose my schedule. I'm currently 1.5 weeks out from a real schedule and 1 more to go. I am a mess. The clouded thinking goes away only after dark. Today I had a short research task my boss asked me to get done for her- I ended up creating an augmented reality scene on a mobile dev program. Fuck, this is relentless. I'm medicated but without a schedule it doesn't feel like it. I keep getting stuck on things. Advice?

In general, creating some kind of schedule for yourself is probably the best way to go. Mine is really loose. Before I had a kid, I did housework in the morning and computer work in the afternoon. I recommend starting with a solid morning routine that you use all the time, even when you don’t have a real schedule, and then move from there. Figure out when your naturally most focused times are during the day, and schedule intensive stuff for then if you can.

Oh man. Your theory was pretty good. I asked the original question, I didn't mean to ask on anon, lol I didn't think I had. My bad! Anyway, that was pretty good. It's 1:30am so I'm probably going to pass out in a sec- but I'd love to explore the theories further, I've got some ideas of my own I'd love to run by you sometime this week. Thanks for the detailed response - that was awesome.

Hi and thanks for the ask! lol And no problem! - I actually can not help but give detailed responses (maybe I should try not to make them so long but I ust cant stop myself once I get going lol).

Please do send more questions/theories/headcanons and all that stuff my way! I love talking about things, and this show is soooo good. I may need to be prompted (it’s hard for me to come up with questions to ask others for some reason) but once I’m given a topic I can run with it. So do stop in any time with things! :)
