Some thoughts I have on recent events, Matthew Daddario and Esther Kim

Listen. Matthew Daddario is the most precious and wonderful human we've been graced to get to know as an actor. So many of us adore him. I adore him. But I think sometimes people of the SH fandom forget that the actors of this show are also human. This past weekend Matt was in Paris for the con and Esther was with him. They've been traveling together and have been super cute with each other. They are the epitome of relationship goals and the way some of you treat Esther is gross. Matt loves her. That much is clear. Matt does an absolute glorious job at portraying Alec on the show. But that doesn't give us an almighty pass into his life. He is human. He is a person. He has the right to his privacy. He has the right to post cute pictures of his girl on instagram or wherever he decides to post it without the fandom attacking him or Esther. Matt has been so gracious with taking pictures and have conversations with fans but some of you are abusing how wonderfully nice he is. Stop waiting outside his hotels for him. Especially if you've already been graced with meeting him. Appreciate the time you've had with him but for the love of god give him his privacy. The fact that he's deleted pictures off of his instagram because of the way some people were coming at him, be it for his french, which isn't his first language, or for showing off Esther. Some of you need to stop. Let's take a moment to talk about Esther. She's been by Matts side every step of the way and has gone to meet ups with Matthew. She has shown that she loves Matts fans as well when she has NOTHING TO PROVE to anyone. Why would anyone throw hate at the person who loves the same person you say you adore. Especially when the person you adore loves them back? Y'all say you love Matt. Well Matt loves Esther and she is a huge sweetheart. Stop being this way. They deserve love and respect from everyone in this fandom. Stop stalking them. Stop being rude. Stop being mean. Just enjoy life and enjoy that Matt loves the fans before all of that gets flushed away. We have been blessed with this man and neither of them deserve this. Just stop.
