I have already said this other spaces but one of the reason you're not going to be seeing art from me for a while is because my drawing tablet has had its last brushstroke a couple of weeks ago.
Im pretty devastated and since this is tumblr, I will be a lot less vaugue as to why this matters a lot to me.
Im very attached to my electronics as much I would do with my pets, I give them names and try to use them as much as I can and I get really upset when they fail or break because part of it is *my* fault.
I was a pretty irresponsible kid back when I started my proper art journey in the year 2019, the tablet would break and most of its components would be lost (two pegs would be lost and the glove that would come with it would break because my hands kept growing) I too lost a lot of pens, and trust me, I CRINGE real bad when I remember what happend to my OTHER drawing tablet one with a SCREEN of all things, humidity and corrosion killed her, and that pains even more because I brought a very fragile thing to an environment where everything wants to kill you (aka my old moldy room in my old rusty house)
alas its 2026, and the only drawing tool that I had finally had its last breath, its cable was in pretty rough condition it was hanging for dear life and I begged, BEGGED for it to last long enough to get a new one.
I hate replacing my tech, I use them as much as I can and personalize them to my liking, my "fancy" win11 laptop destined to be used on a office or university is now my buddy buddy friend that I take on walks and walt around the house listening to songs and the one im currently using to navigate this big big world of ours.
the loss of my drawing tablet really hurt me because I needed to replace them soon, I didn't give them a proper name.
I could set up a go-fund me for people to fund my new tablet, and I've searching online for the perfect model that suits the current monetary situation Im currently in.
take in mind that my hands are too weak, im a weak... weak wisp of a boy, I could TRY to draw with a mouse but that will be a challenge, a more physically dauting thing that turns a fun hobby into a chore.
so wish me luck... and hello fellow mouse drawers, please give me some tips.
