joe’s favorite food is pizza. 

🌲 Which of your ocs likes the cold the best? Who can handle it the best?

  anne likes the cold the best. moving to bellam was kind of a big change for her bc it gets so hot sometimes. 

🌿 Which oc can handle the most spice? Which prefers the blandest foods?

joe is really good with spicy, but matteo is probably the worst with spicy food. like he physically cannot handle it.

there be spoilers ahead. 

doesn’t know that carter knows joe and sage. violet reveals it later after matteo shows her a pic of him, joe, and sage when they were kids prior to their kidnapping. at first he’s like “what the fuck” bc small world.

has a lot of questions about his family like why he and his siblings were born with all these enhanced senses, super strength/speed. why he’s always felt so out of place with everyone.

was terrorized by sylvia and anthony all through his childhood and onward up until his teen years. he’s scared they’ll come back for him and grace one day. 

sometimes if he’s not paying attention he just breaks things. he’s broken phones, sinks, door knobs, glasses, you name it he’s probably broken it at some point. one time he accidentally sent grace flying through the air and face first into the dirt bc he underestimated how much strength it’d take to boost her over a fence. 

calls his mom and grace all the time. he also sends them postcards from the places he travels. (they haven’t seen him in person since he left home at 18, 7 years ago. he won’t come home until he finds their missing family.)

wonders why his family is cursed to suffer tragedy 

the reason anthony wants the alvarez kids is bc their dad made a deal to resurrect sage’s dad and the cost was his children. carter offers himself in matteo’s place, breaking the original contract. (the other reason is that with alec already under his control, having carter would complete the set. besides, he figures he can always go after matteo again at a later date. after all what’s a moment to eternity)

can’t stand the dark bc of his childhood. he and violet bond over their mutual fear.

purposefully looks up bad puns on the internet to fuck with people

sort of wants to believe in aliens

flipped off a ghost who told him he wasn’t shit

almost got killed bc he called the alpha of a werewolf pack a furry

doesn’t always know when to shut up lol

one of the reasons he was so jazzed by carter when they first met is bc carter is just as much of a little shit as him

will pet every dog he sees

he and carter carry each other away from fights/arguments with other people. just toss each other over the shoulder like an irate sack of potatoes. 

sleeps on his back bc he’s too powerful

wears leather jackets no matter the weather bc he’s not a fucking quitter.

nina’s the only one who laughs at his terrible puns, and he fears/respects her for it (nina has the energy of some kind of ageless chaos god that could throw him to the void, but doesn’t bc it wouldn’t be nice)
