Kaminari. Of course, Shinsou could recognize his voice anywhere. Even through the haze of his vision and the warbling effect in his ears, he can always make out the soft tones of his friend's (?) voice.
A friend (?), Shinsou muses, that needs to vacate the area sooner rather than later. One of which Shinsou knows is just stubborn enough to do exactly the opposite.
I'm not leaving you.
What a goddamned hero this boy is, but his determination is misplaced.
"You have to," Shinsou says calmly, dragging his eyes about to take on their surroundings. If Kaminari stays, there's no doubt in Shinsou's mind that he will also end up hurt, and that is simply unacceptable. "I'll catch up."
Shinsou has lied a few times before in his life - mostly when using his quirk in training or when necessary. He prefers to think this isn't a lie, but with his leg throbbing and bleeding the way it is, walking out of this by himself seems utterly impossible.
"Stay sharp, Chargebolt." He says, and he means it with every bit of his heart. "I'll keep things under control here and regroup shortly."
He doesn't expect Kaminari to listen to him, but he sincerely hopes he does. The longer he can keep himself from using his quirk against his allies (friends?), the better.
"You’ll ‘catch up’?” He asks, incredulously, looking pointedly at Shinsou’s leg then back up to meet his eyes. “Dude, you and I both know that’s not gonna happen. Not without help.”
He’s terrified and he’s sure it’s showing on his face, but he can’t just leave him here, not when they could both make it back to the rest of the group together. But fuck.... how the hell is he going to carry him when Shinsou is so much bigger than him? God, he should have taken Kirishima up on his offer to work out together.
“Okay, here’s what we’re gonna do.” He starts again, taking a deep breath and letting it out in a short huff as he begins digging through his pouches for medical supplies and presses a bandage to the wound. “I’m gonna get this as patched up as I can as quick as I can and then I’m gonna help you up and you’re gonna lean on me and we’re gonna walk out of here together. And if you try to stop me or make me go, I’ll shock your ass and drag you out instead.”
