PAINSCREEK KILLINGS SPOILERS

I was thinking about Bernard, and how Matthew tried to frame him when Steven was around (and to fool the player as well, ofc) and at first you think "well that was an obvious move, I mean, Bernard is one of the few people still alive, makes sense matthew would try to blame him"

but guys. if Matthew, just like us, went through all Bernard's diaries and secrets, he found out Bernard killed Scott, he found out Bernard killed the only thing left of Sofia.

So Matthew didn't just randomly pick Bernard, he WANTED him to get caught so he could have his revenge duo Scott's death (and ofc so he wouldn't be a target for the police). He truly thought of every single move.

I know this might sound obvious, but I'm still just so fascinated with this game and how everything aligns gAH, I love gushing about it so much :'D

Going through my old Painscreek detective document is really fun:

. I made notes of literally every single name that came up in the game. Literally all of them. Just in case any MIGHT prove relevant later. I actually spent half an hour meticulously recording ALL of Dr. Johnson's patient's medical records JUST in case even ONE stray name came up later. Only one of them was actually relevant.

. I once came up with the theory that Matthew killed Calvin to steal his position. This was never disproven, but in hindsight, it does seem unlikely. . I also once came up with the theory that Derrick was slowly poisoning his mother to death to eliminate a witness??? . And I also theorized that Trisha and Scott were fraternal twins separated at birth for some reason????
