So I know Eiji’s favourite kid is his son but do Holmes and Moriarty each have a son that they connect to more than the others?
When it comes to discussing favorites, they don’t necessarily like to talk about it. Matthew and Shiloh argue a lot as it is, Chandler hates feeling like a burden for anyone, and Piper already has a big ego for him to believe he’s the favorite, so the last they ever want going on are any sibling rivalries.
Holmes especially doesn’t want anything like that. He knows that his children are unique in their own little ways. But, when it comes to which one he bonds with more, it’s Chandler, since Chandler trusts his father enough to vent any troubles he has, and card games between the two are nice and quiet.
Moriarty pretty much feels the same way. He’s wanted kids/descendants since as far as he can remember, so he just, like, aggressively(?) loves his sons no matter what. However, due to Shiloh hanging out with him a lot while he works on inventions, and how he’s taken an interest in Holmes’s chemistry set, Moriarty just…discreetly goes, “You… You’re officially my successor.“
