Sanchez should not have had the luxury to "quit", "resign", or any other action that implies that he chose to do so. 911 dispatchers are supposed to help, they are supposed to stay on the line til help arrives, they are the one people we are trained to know are there for us. This is just disgusting. On a side note: I know Halle Berry would never have hung up. Where is Storm when you need her?

New Mexico dispatcher tells 911 caller, 'deal with it yourself'
A New Mexico dispatcher has been removed from duty after telling a panicked 911 caller who was trying to save the life of a shooting victim to “deal with it yourself.” Matthew Sanchez was reassigned after officials became aware of the call, fire officials said. “An...
From our facebook wall (I had some assignments for English and one of them is something called a ballad. After several days of thinking about one, I finally did. The poem is about a girl name Leelah Alcorn that died December 28, 2014. This poem is dedicated to primarily her and other transgender children, teens, and adults.)
Title: Fix Society, Please Leelah Alcorn was a beautiful girl But the way her parents treated her makes others want to hurl She didn't deserve to be treated like an animal Or laughed at like a clown in a carnival
When people heard she died The only thing they did is cried Even though her death was tragic She has left a little bit of magic
Leelah had friends she could turn to for support Instead, she decided to abort The pain her parents caused her Made her life turn into a blur
Leelah was different from the other girls And she possibly wanted some hair curls Regardless of her gender identity She is another human being that needed serenity
Her final words were "Fix society, please" Without respect towards transgender people, society will never be at ease This is our time to ease Leelah Alcorn's pain Or her death will forever be in vain.
