I’m all about that glow but sometimes you just need/want to be matte! There are some of my favourite products - @makeupforeverofficial Smoothing Primer isn’t the most high functioning matte primer but for me it definitely is! I recently wore this on a hot HOT day when I had to attend a wedding in the morning, back to office and later dinner at night. When I was back home my face was pretty matte without looking dry and my makeup was well intact! I’m not sure how effective it would be on very oily skin but if you have combo or normal, this would work really well! @milkmakeup Blur Stick is great at mattifying and blurring pores. I tend to use this more on days when I’m not wearing any foundation. I just apply this, a corrector, and I’m out the door. This is not very long lasting though. It doesn’t really control shine as well as MakeupForever throughout the day. I still find it handy though. @hourglasscosmetics Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light is what first hooked me into colourless bases. I tend to get oily in my T-zone and under my eyes. That’s where this keeps away the shine and also gives the skin that soft focus effect. @yslbeauty Blur Perfector does exactly what Blur Stick does but I like this formula more. The Blur Stick is hands free application, something I do like but I keep the YSL one in my handbag because it comes with a mirror. I like that this is easy to apply over makeup as well and mattify throughout the day. This also doesn’t ball up which the Milk Makeup one does at times. I love that this can be used over or under makeup! @chanel.beauty Les Beiges Powder is what I used to use to mattify before discovering the YSL Blur Pefector. Its just a regular fine Powder and to be honest I don’t use it as much as I used to.
