No, I mean literally physically how, I didn't realize you could STACK DESKTOP FILES like that instead of snapping them all in rows, is there like a Control Panel setting or what
Oh, yeah! There’s a setting for that and I tried having it on for a while for neatness, but these days it’s easier for me to just organically group things, so I leave it off :)
That setting is (in macs) called Snap to Grid, and you get to it by right-clicking on your desktop, going to Show View Options, and looking through the Arrange By dropdown menu. Mine is currently set to None, and has been for ages and will be for the conceivable future :P
