Louis was wondering what was such a big deal about this woman since he was shoved by his grandfather, Comte, to hand her a gift. He just blinked wordlessly for a few moments. "I was told to wish you a happy birthday by my grandfather....and here's a gift."
With that, he handed over a box that held a new spellbook.

Frankly Neff couldn't even answer his question if he'd done so out loud. She doesn't find herself a big deal at all - just a person doing her best to make the world a better place. Some may find it good natured and inspiring, but to her it was just the way the world should be.
So to hear the young man was told by family to do something for her - well to be honest she felt a bit bad about it. She didn't know him yet he was essentially forced to do something for her.
Even more baffling is how curated said gift was! Even if he was told she was a witch this was a rather good and safe gift to give!
"Sorry about this..." She felt the need to apologize. "...but I hope knowing this is a lovely gift will have made it worth it! Thanks."
