Are there any skills or habits your character picked up from their mother? If so, were they taught by the mother or did they learn by observing only?
Isaac actually learned a lot of what he knows about first aid and medicine from his mom! Both of his parents were medics of some sort (though he didn't learn much from his dad because he wasn't able to talk to him much) so he picked up a lot from observing her working, plus she taught him some of the basics. Mostly observing though. Anything he didn't learn from her, he learned though the few medical books he could find and trial and error.
