(Enzo) "Zenith has always been with Master Vernon ever since we arrived by boat to this land, a few years ago. Master Vernon didn't try to separate us, though. I think he wanted us to consider his horse as a friend. I know Zenith was a bit nervous around us at first, but we ended up becoming good comrades."

“I didn’t raise them from pups, but I did however meet them and their parents at their breeding house, far in the eastern Wyverian lands. Truth be told, I did not hesitate and I booked the young brothers as soon as I saw them. They were lively and full of energy, especially Mauger. Enzo was more curious, an adorable ball of fuzz who was smaller than his brother at that time.

I let the breeder take care of the training for me since I have close to no expertise in that domain. Then I came back two years later to take the now big boys with me to Dundorma, after a few days getting used to each other again. What a trip it was. Adapting to their new environment was a bit of a challenge, but they handled it perfectly in the end.”

Vernon: “No, my Garogarons don’t hunt with me, they weren’t trained for that. Their only duty is to guard my house, which they carry out wonderfully. I feed them once a day with a large piece of meat – specially flavored so they recognize it as their meal, unlike what a potential stranger could try to give them. They also require a lot of space, so they’re free to roam in the garden and around the house, as long as they don’t go out of the property’s limits.

This kind of dog is sturdy, and can care for themselves pretty well otherwise. They do need a lot of training however, which takes time and money. But that’s how they understand they should not immediately kill an intruder. Just neutralize it long enough until I return and investigate. They’re totally worth their price, I’d say.”

Zenith: “Where do I start? Vernon is my friend, but he's also much more than that.”

Enzo: “We both respect him as our master.”

{{ Finally found names for the two Garogarons guarding Vernon’s house. 

They are two brothers, Enzo being a little taller but less muscular than Mauger. Though they look and behave a lot alike, slight differences make them recognizable for those who are familiar enough with them. 

Enzo has a more lion-like face, shorter ears and a scar on the right one. He’s more patient and obedient than his sibling. Mauger is more aggressive, hot-tempered, but will usually follow his brother in most situations. 

I have yet to give them colors, but in the meantime enjoy these two puppies! (preferably from a fair distance) }}
