Vernon: “No, my Garogarons don’t hunt with me, they weren’t trained for that. Their only duty is to guard my house, which they carry out wonderfully.
I feed them once a day with a large piece of meat – specially flavored so they recognize it as their meal, unlike what a potential stranger could try to give them. They also require a lot of space, so they’re free to roam in the garden and around the house, as long as they don’t go out of the property’s limits.
This kind of dog is sturdy, and can care for themselves pretty well otherwise. They do need a lot of training however, which takes time and money. But that’s how they understand they should not immediately kill an intruder. Just neutralize it long enough until I return and investigate. They’re totally worth their price, I’d say.”
