If it were Jesper, she would have laughed. If it was Nina saying this, she probably would have rolled her eyes and questioned whether or not it was possible. This wasn’t someone that she trusted. Her trust was a rare thing, but Inej had been lucky enough to find it in a couple of people within Echo Springs. Kaz Brekker (against her better judgement) was one of the people that she trusted the most. She knew most of the people in town didn’t share the same sentiment. It was clear that this man didn’t. Leaning against the bar, Inej quirked an eyebrow in question.
“You think that would work? I doubt it. I wouldn’t suggest it either,” she warned, resisting the urge to touch the knives hidden on her.
