I finally finished this piece, and right on time for @maulrexweek! This is for the alternative prompt Make your enemies feel cooperative and this is part of the Margarita!Rex verse, where Maul got his bottom half back thanks to creepy Nightsister magic.

Thank you for all your submissions and votes; we got ties with some prompts so we tried to mix a couple of them together!

DAY 1 (10/25) – JEDI, COMMANDERS, AND SITH

A clash of Jedi against Sith, an unlikely alliance, the special connection between Jedi and their commanders... What better way to start the week than put a spotlight on some of the most important aspects of Star Wars!

DAY 2 (10/26) – REMEMBER ME: GHOST AND CURSES

Spooky time—Day 2 calls for all the ghost stories, curses and legends shared in the GFFA or elsewhere that could happen to our characters.

DAY 3 (10/27) – ON THE RUN

Allied against a common enemy, running away to avoid being captured… Day 3 is about the rush!

DAY 4 (10/28) – WHAT IF

What if they were soulmates? What if Maul was an android? What if they lived on our Earth?

We’ve regrouped all the Alternate Universes submitted (such as Fae AU, Rule 63, Fix-It, Modern Setting…) in Day 4 to celebrate a thousand ways of reinventing maulrex.

DAY 5 (10/29) – IMPERIALS AND REBELS

The Empire rises on Day 5! A difficult, tumultuous period of civil wars and a dark time for the galaxy, the Imperial Era is marked with the beginning of the Rebellion and the reign of Darth Sidious—perhaps not the happiest time of their lives (and yet...)

DAY 6 (10/30) – LOST IN SPACE

Space: the final frontier! In the vast Galaxy Far Far Away, it's easy to get lost or stranded in deep space...

DAY 7 (10/31) – ALL ABOUT TIME

After Space comes Time; there are any ways to play with it—they could be running out of time or right on time, stuck in a loop or traveling to the past and to the future… You decide. :)

Cody told him everything there was to know about him before he set out, and the past few weeks have settled that knowledge, refined it.

He is a strange man. Most Alpha class clones are, but he is stranger than most. Rex likes him.

“You know the mark,” he says. “The agent.”

Rex doesn’t answer—it isn’t a question.

Maul’s is a hard man to find.

They say the Zabrak stays in Dathomir when he’s not travelling, but his second—faceless and nameless, clad in patchwork beskar armour and bounty hunter leathers—is a ghost. Cody has been following him for weeks, patiently tracking him in his trips through the galaxy, plotting and waiting and watching. The man travels without guards. He flies a modified shuttle, an old Republic model retrofitted with better engines, heavily armed and armoured. He’s a decent pilot.

Cody is half-sure he is a clone. He has never seen the man without his helmet, but he recognises that way of moving; the shape of his shoulders is familiar.
