This stunning gown was designed by Edward Stevenson for Maureen O’Hara as Contessa Francesca in the 1945 adventure film 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝑴𝒂𝒊𝒏.   The gown was recycled for use in 𝑨𝒕 𝑺𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅’𝒔 𝑷𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕 in 1952, where it was seen worn by Gladys Cooper as Queen Anne, where adjustments appear to have been made to the neckline.   The gown was purchased by Debbie Reynolds and was ultimately auctioned off to a private collector.   Learn more at Bit.ly/StuGeo078
