All ready for Tacoma Open Kill Team tournament 😄

So, I'm back from Tacoma Open.

I WON THE FAN FAVOURITE IN HOBBY CHALLENGE!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

I am so very happy I didn't fully process it yet😭

So, for challenge all participants get the same model (this year it was Cadian Castellan) and access to about a metric fuckton of sprues. And you have a weekend to make a diorama about the model you are given.

I got to spend about 17 hours on it, I think.

I spent all Friday building the thing, and then I was painting it between rounds of Kill Team tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

(I met my own goal in it - to win at least one game. I am not a good player, so my goals in tournaments are usually 'not to be the worst out there')

I highly recommend taking part in Warhammer Open hobby challenges if you have a chance. It is incredible fun, and not having to worry about cost of the bits does give you wings 😁

If Warhammer Open happens close to me again, I will probably skip the play and just do Hobby Challenge for all three days.

(Though I am highly tempted by narrative event, ngl. It looked fun af!)

Played some Boarding Actions today. Custodes vs Nids.

Goldies took victory, even if they lost all Sisters of Silence in the process.

Playing in a local charity event. It is super fun, with custom missions and not-competitive armies 😁

Got into local Crusade campaign. Brought in grot!WAAAAGH, inspired by Mike Brook's novel Warboss. Nothing is painted yet, as I just got most of it as Christmas, New Year and Birthday gifts. But here's my GrotBoss. And my stupid ultra-bad army that mostly consists of Stompa(705 points out of 1000).

And here's report from Snaggi's point of view

Snaggi applied the last coat of paint on his new armor with a happy sigh.

Dis was a good day. First 'e  spotted some fishboys rumbling tru ruins. Always fun to slap around if u can get past dem being shooty!  But dat's what ovver grots are for! And deir trukk was proppa shiny. Snaggi really wanted dat fishboy trukk plate for 'is armor. And 'e got it!

Yeah, dey turned over stompa. (Too bad it did not explode in deir faces. Dat would be hilarious!) And dey were ded set to do some weird fings to da ruins, and dey left after dey did dem instead of finishing da fight proppa. But we all know fishboys are weird.

Still, we got dat trukk. I got da armor. Princess got da fishboy snacc. WIN FOR DA GROTWAAAAGH!

(I actually lost the game as soon as tau killed the stompa on turn 3. Also because it was my first time playing orks and I messed up some rules badly in opponents favour. And because I'm generally not good at games😅 Does not stop me from signing up for anything I can attend tho 🤣)

Week 3 of the crusade (we're on week 6 atm, but I am slow on writing).

Garbage goblins vs angry dwarves match.

Krump me sideways! Stuntiez! Didn't bugboyz chomp 'em all? Are dese leftuvvers? No matter! Tonight we WAAAAAAGH!

Deir bikes'd be a good scrap! Somefing new for mekboy ta play with!

Krumpin was gud, but den stuntiez got a weirboy. Or I guess dey'd call it weirdgurl? No matter wot stuntiez call it, 'e kicked me rump with 'er 'eadblast. Cheatin', I say!

Wen I woke up da stompa was da smokin' pile of scrap. More den usual, I mean.

Ladz say while dey were krumpin' weirdgurl and 'er nobz ta avenge me, one sneaky stunty with da hammer found da hole in da hull and went right fer da engine. 

As I sayz, cheaterz!

Still, dere bikez 'ave sum shiny gubbinz on 'em. Good loot! WIN FOR DA GROT WAAAGH!

Never played against Votann before. The grudge tokens were no joke! The game has turned into mutual annihilation very fast, and my opponent had more units 😅 Still it was a very fun game!

(But than any game I get to roll 25+ dice in one go is a fun game, no matter the outcome 🤣)
