Underwater Visionary . : : I used to have a massive fear of being in open water.. I had a panic attack whilst swimming, way back in 1997. The irrational fear lasted for 14 years. : Although I swam as a child, it wasn’t until I decided to try my hand at Triathlon in 2011 that I then realized my fear of the open water was born from not being able to breath efficiently whilst swimming. : A fortunate set of events lead me to having a business meeting with a coach, who upon listening to my story about my fears then persuaded me to go and swim open water with him and learn the basics of breathing whilst swimming, thus giving me the confidence I needed to be comfortable in the water. (Thanks Daz E) : : Fast forward a few years later, and a lot of my photography work is in my underwater office. I love the unpredictability of shooting in the water and how it can affect the outcome of an image. There are endless possibilities of the outcome. : : Image: @sarahkimbonner wears the @rokatriathlon #maverickx2 with Roka F2 Goggles and the Pro Team Silicone Cap. : Location: @activelanzarote : : #triathlonpro #triathlonphoto #triathlonphotography #Sportphotography #sportphotographer #sportphoto #triathlonlove #jamesmitchellphotography #endorphinaddict #mitchellprosportfoto #roka #findfaster #swimphotography #underwaterphotography (at Lanzarote Canary Islands) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDL0NAvngx3/?igshid=1ax87witwtwih
