This took a while longer than intended. This here is just a age progression of Mavis. age 5: Just your typical happy 5 year old who loves to follow her grandpa around when he is working around with the griffins. Granted she stays a safe distance as she is too young to handle them yet. This is around that age she is fasinated by them. Age 8: She took up playing the ocarina (the object she is holding in the ref). She would often be playing this with the griffadees or around baby griffins when they are frightened and uses as a means to calm them. At this age is thought how to handle them but with supervision. Age 10: Just starting to learn how to ride griffins, a scraffy child always wildly climbing trees and such. This is also when she first got Sunny and started bonding with her. This is also when she got the scars on her arm when trying to get close to Sunny. Realizes her mistake of how she handled her new griffin and decides to be more patient with Sunny. Age 13: toned down on the scraffiness. Took up writing. By then Sunny is big enough for Mavis to ride on, as for flying not old enough for Sunny to take off with a rider. Age 15: started learning to ride griffin in the air by herself, Sunny got big enough to lift Mavis up in the air. Became a lot more responsible person than when back at 10. Age 18: the current age Mavis is when her story starts. Age 23: Mavis 5 years later having more responsibilities at Griffhaven.
