OK. I think he’s done. I’ve hit the point where i think I will just overwork this if I try to do more. I’ve seen a bunch of haunted!din on my dash lately and wanted to take a crack at him.
Here’s the thing. I used to do a lot of digital art. I was super nit-picky about it, to the point of correcting individual pixels. Because I could. I could zoom way the hell in and try to make everything perfect. About ten years ago there was a power surge at my studio (I could afford studio space at the time lol) which fried my computer and I lost years worth of digital art, plus an archive of reference photos and textures and brushes.
This was a huge setback.
Over this past year I have starting making digital art again, and I’ve only been sharing to recently. I’ve been trying to let go of some of my perfectionist tendencies. Could I go in and paint each individual hair on Din’s head? Sure. I absolutely could. That’s the thing with digital art. There is no natural stopping point. I’m trying to let things go and let things be done.
IDK. Sorry for the infodump. Clean Din below the cut.
