Maw-rch art challenge: Drednaw! 4h41! Little details I'm proud of here: neck slightly extends for extra snapping turtle-ness, all the little toes, the shell ridges, has a little tongue that can go blehhh!

This is probably the last pokemon I'll be able to make this month which would mean 3 Maw-rch March pokemon 😵‍💫

Maw-rch art challenge: Swalot again! 2h19! I made another one because I felt like the details were too off on the first. This one is improved! A few tweaks I'll add later maybe but I'm pretty satisfied with how this turned out. At least the time for this plus the first is only 5 hours which is about normal.

Maw-rch art challenge: Swalot! 2h31! Okay this is like half the effect I wanted to do. Normally I'm really good at juggling a bunch of details the first time around, but my free time is much more limited lately so this one I definitely want to put at the top of my rework list. Oh prototype Swalot my misshapen lad.

Details of note: cinch mechanism for biiig gaping mouth effect, nice diamonds. Looks the right amount of blobby when mouth is open wide.

Things I want to work on for next time: Change the way the mouth is sewn so that it cinches up top. The way it is now, the open part is sewn evenly around the lips, but maybe I should make it so it's sewn across the bottom of the mouth pouch instead of at the open edge. Also I need to remember to include the front black diamond, either as part of the mouth pouch or in line with the others if I adjust the rows. Top of head needs to be a smidge smaller, maybe another row before it widens to the max. More purple rows before starting the diamonds so those are set lower on the body and the body will be taller overall. A slimy-looking edge for the bottom (I could technically do that now, but lazy and it wouldn't look quite right with the angle the mouth is set at currently).
