I’ve never played online! I know pokemon thanks to you haha and I’ve played a little bit of ygo and magic but I don’t know anything about the scene besides how to play. I always used my friends decks to play growing up, I’ve never done anything big

i try to stay away from card game scenes since they get pretty swiftly overrun by bros who laugh at people who are new and don’t have a large amount of disposable income but videogame versions of card games tend to at least flatten those particular inherent problems (the elitism sticks around every place where humanoid organisms cluster but there’s less of the box-buying tournament massacre grossness abounding) 

i can investigate a few places online - idk if you want to go through the kerfuffle, but blizzard does hearthstone, which seems pretty nice from what i’ve done on my friend’s game. I’ve yet to install it for myself because it needs a blizzard account to attach to, but if people prod me enough i can probably get my butt into gear. i’m 99% sure they allow friend matches and their random matchup system seems fairly pleasant currently. (and you can play against AI too, as far as i’m aware. which is nice.)

that does sound good. i’m a clumsy potato right now so it may take me a few days (maybe give it until next weekend, i have a lot going on) but i’ll try to make that a thing as soon as possible

but im imagining

yuusuke and daiki infiltrating a police force on a rider world

meanwhile natsumi and tsukasa are being thieves

doing a two pronged attack to try and help the world’s rider, who has been badly injured by a crime related monster, being aided by a mole in the police

daiki whining that he’s not being the thief, but yuusuke doesn’t think that tsukasa should be allowed to pretend to be a policeman again, and natsumi is too anti authority to fake it
