"I THINK DEEP SKY HAS QUITE A LOT TO LEARN FROM YOUR ORGANIZATION," HE SAYS, feeling bold not not quite like he's overstepped. "How do I pronounce it, again? — sorry. Sorry." He laughs nervously.

"I'd love a tour of the office, Mr. Burton. Some people might find such things so terribly bureaucratic, but I'm a great admirer of your work."

MEALTIME. joe really, really likes to cook for them. he rarely gets the opportunity, as his skills are often under-appreciated — and, yes, perhaps they pale in comparison to max's — but he likes the act of doing something heartfelt and time-consuming for them both.
EMOTIONAL INTIMACY. joe is trying to be better about how open he gets during pillow talk. in reality, he needs more friends, needs to be more considerate of boundaries in the relationship between himself, max, and gwen.
QUALITY TIME. joe likes going to movies, but not to restaurants. he likes walks in the park but not workout sessions. most of all, he likes the three of them being in one of their apartments while they all three work on separate tasks and listen to music. he thinks it's a good balance in their relationship.
PHYSICAL INTIMACY. it is hard to imagine a world where joe is ever topping, ever, in any scenario. extremely reluctant to dom. extremely. again, all i will say on the matter in a public sphere...

“I had fun last night. I did.”
(Why does he feel the need to preface with this?)
“I just thought, you know, maybe —” He twiddles his thumbs, hems and haws uncomfortably.
“Maybe I could cook breakfast for us, sometime?” Instead of Max, who is in the kitchen. “You know, you guys, I’m not bad on a flat top. Food for three is no big deal.”
