Max/Eleanor is vampirism yuri. (Eleanor is the OG rich vampire feeding on human Max, who fall in love and whose offer of love and walking away from eternity (ambition and glory) gets rejected. Max becomes slowly like Eleanor as a result of having been her lover/Eleanor having fed upon her. Nassau as the gothic place that haunts them- they are definied by it more than any others characters, they are Nassau and all its contraddiction, one of them need to sit on its only chair for the story to continue and from this fucking char they both make money, in different way, by sucking the place dry and they cannot leave! Vampirism themes!)

Max/Anne is werewolf romance. (Anne as having this violent life and habits, but instead of hiding them and fighting them as in typical werewolf romance she hides even from herself her kinder side, accepting than others will see only the “beast” side of her, never the knight. But when Max becomes a victim of people close to her she chose to slay and kill her "pack" to save Max. And then Max saves her by allowing this softer human side of Anne Bonny to come to light, and by bringing to the light a desire for love and homosexuality that Anne didn't know she had and that she initially demonized and tried to rejected but then learned to accept as part of her nature thanks to Max’s love.)

if Max and Silver were remotely friends they would never trust each other at all but they are fully aware the other is always seeing them as a means to an end and that is security, they absolutely trust one another to sell them out for One Corn Chip if the event arises but ALSO to stick to the plan as long as it’s profitable. Amazing dynamic.

Is there a definitive ranking of Max’s dresses?

Right now I’m ranking her yellow dress in 2.10 as #1, however that will probably change when I start 3.01.
