Hi, I remember Cross having trouble flirting. How about the rest of the squad?
Hello there! 💫
Oh yeah, I honestly think that Crosshair would have some trouble flirting with guys, especially when he actually likes them - but I think once he gets a bit more comfortable he can be one smooth mf.
As for the rest of the squad? If I had to make a scale...
Most of them cannot flirt to save their life, lol.
Though, I think it depends on the circumstances and who exactly they're flirting with.
But a more in depth breakdown under the cut-
I know the fandom likes to cast Hunter as this suave daddy dom type individual (much like Din Djarin gets treated) and yeah - I can SEE why one would assume that of him, but take into consideration the rest of him and not just his looks and voice, yeah?
The man who said "activate" when talking about childbirth? The guy who did not understand what was going on between Anakin and Rex and totally read things wrong? The guy who kept banging his head against the wall whenever Tech and Phee would flirt?
Personally, I see him being aroace and one who doesn't care too much about romantic/sexual relationships so he could really give two shits about flirting. Maybe if a mission called for him to do so, he would, but he'd be pretty bad at it. He's just using the classic pick-up lines to be safe, but he is FAILING with the delivery.
That man cannot flirt for his life and do not ask him to or he'll cringe.
Same goes for Jung - he rarely talks and is asexual so he doesn't care too much about flirting. He doesn't see a point to it - "If you like someone, why not tell them directly?"
Viram is a little bit like them, but she can't really flirt on account of Mikkians being known to be a really blunt race. Her flirting attempts will come out to be borderline threats or are in a tone that doesn't make it seem like a flirt and more like a fact. But honestly she doesn't have time for flirting and would prefer for partners to be more direct with her.
Tech, I feel, is a little like Crosshair in the sense that he's not that great when it comes to flirting, but give him some time with someone he actually likes and he can flirt. Like he can charm the pants off Phee - and I also think that part of his 'flirting' doesn't really seem like flirting to other people. Like it's not really the traditional type of flirting.
Again, same with Crosshair. I think he could be good at it if it's directed towards someone he's been with for a while - and I'm sure he's used it on a mission or two - but also his flirting isn't really seen as flirting. Like with Anakin - it could just be giving a guy his firepuncher and silently staring at him. That's his version of flirting.
I think Wrecker is a bit in between the two of them. I think that he is good at flirting, but when he's flirting with someone he actually likes, that's when he trips up. Like he can be a charming, friendly individual and classically flirt with someone - but if it's someone he likes? Oh he's a mess.
Echo definitely has some practice with flirting. He's had to be Fives' wingman on occasion, after all. And he's a smooth dude, I think he'd have no problem flirting when it comes down to it - I just think that he doesn't really do it that often. But it's definitely another trick he's got up his sleeve to use whenever he needs it.
Khea is kinda like Echo in that she uses flirting more as a tactic than anything, but she uses it a lot more on the field than Echo does. She's got enough practice with it to have built up a script that she follows - so it's not something quite natural, but she can be charming when she wants to be. And of course, she flirts to hide her true feelings because if people find out how she really feels, then it's a vulnerability they can exploit.
Then we all know Phee "Hey there Brown Eyes" Genoa is a certified flirt. She just went for it and I honestly do not blame her. Much like Echo and Khea, I think that being as charming is part of her job so she's just to flirting here and there - but I think it just comes more naturally to her than it does for Khea. Khea can come across as a bit blunt or intense at times, but Phee is all smooth flirts. She flirts when she likes you, she flirts when she wants something from you, she flirts because she can, and she flirts because it's fun. She'll especially flirt with you if you're a brown-eyed, glasses wearing, nerdy clone though.
And then, last but not least, we've got Tay on the other side of the spectrum. His flirting abilities are a mix of the natural charm thanks to his personality, and the practiced allure crafted by his environments. He's a bit of a people pleaser and is always looking to make people like him - to sorta prove his worth and whatnot - so he'll say what you want to hear when it comes to flirting. He's also a bit of a cocky, charming son of a bitch who knows he looks good so naturally he's a bit of a flirt and a good one at that too. The only one who made him slip up a little was Crosshair when they initially met. But also, being a gladiator, he was a performer so he knows how to keep up an act. During that time he was a bit of a courtesan too so there's that. Then later on, it's just a skill to keep him alive while he works for the Black Sun. Long answer short: Tay can flirt.
Sorry for all that rambling, but hopefully that answered your question anon - and thank you for it in the first place! 💫🩵
I would LOVE some tips OML my dad is a scriptwriter but I have absolutely NO clue on how to format it😭 I've written things before but this time I want to actually send it to Riot and see what comes of it I would be so so so grateful for anything at all!!
Thank you SOOOOO much
Of course!!
And omg that's so cool that your dad is a scriptwriter too! He probably can give you better tips, lol, but there's a good amount of stuff online in terms of learning how to format a screenplay.
Studiobinder is a great website that I frequently reference for help with writing, formatting rules, reading published scripts, or just anything dealing with screenwriting in general. It also has a screenwriting software that you can use to write and manage your scripts! I used it at the beginning of college (it was the only software I was aware of) but I don't really use it anymore.
Another free software I used is WriterDuet! It's pretty good, all things considered, and it's got pretty much all you'll need to write a script! I wrote a pilot episode for a TV show and like 80% of a feature film on it with no problem. The only thing is that the free trial only lets you have like 3 documents 😭so I could only write so much.
The software I use right now is Final Draft! It's industry standard so it's got everything. It's pricey though, but you can get a free trial! I was able to get one through my school, but I think you can sign up for one. Right now, it seems like it's 30 days but I somehow managed to get like a year-round one?? I'm not actually sure how I did that-
As for formatting tips, there's a super quick like,, lesson (?) underneath the cut! And I hope you don't mind, but I translated what you had written into the format to help you see how the formatting would work!
Also I wasn't sure if by formatting you meant like screenplay format or story format or something else, but I went with the former. So if it's anything else, let me know and my apologies if so!
Hopefully it's helpful! And if you ever have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! I wish you luck with your writing and sending it to Riot! Can't wait to see what becomes of it and those two bozos (affectionate). 🩵
Sluglines:
- Introduce your scene and are in all caps
- FORMULA: [EXT/INT]. (SETTING) - (TIME)
- EXT. = Exterior settings // INT. = Interior Settings
- TIME is typically either "DAY" or "NIGHT" but sometimes you can get into specifics like "MORNING"/"AFTERNOON"/"EVENING" and so on
- Additionally, if a scene is happening right after the other, you could put "CONTINUOUS" instead of writing "DAY" again
- When you have a scene that takes place somewhere with multiple rooms (EX: An apartment), you can specify the room by adding it between (SETTING) & (TIME)
- For Example: INT. APARTMENT SPACE - BEDROOM - DAY
Action Lines:
- Action lines are where all the action, descriptions, blocking, set dressing, etc happen
- Traditionally, action lines are written in the present tense with active verbs.
- In the action lines sometimes writers will capitalize SOUNDS or important PROPS to emphasize or draw attention to them - this is a writing style choice (I personally love to capitalize sounds)
- Try to avoid having big chunks of action lines - they're typically no longer than four or five sentences
- The general rule is that every time you picture the camera shot changes, you create a new paragraph (aka line breaks)
- Additionally, I've been taught not to put things in the action lines such as "we see" or state something about the camera doing something (zooming in, panning out, cutting to, etc...) - SHOW don't TELL basically
- You will also introduce your CHARACTERS in the action lines as well
Character Intros:
- As mentioned before, character intros happen in the action lines
- The first time a character is introduced, their NAMES are capitalized and followed by their age (typically in parenthesis) and/or a little description about them (could be physical but I've been told to lean more into personality because having a set physical description messes with casting, but that's not an issue for this particular project)
- For Example: SILCO (40s), lanky in stature and sharp in his face and mind, rolls his eyes and scoffs.
- After you initially capitalize their name, you don't have to do so anymore in other action lines
- Additionally, you want to make sure you introduce a character in the action line BEFORE they have a speaking line - this is just for the production team's sake to know who's present in the scene
- Even BACKGROUND people's names/groups are capitalized (so like: CROWD, PATRONS, TOWNSFOLK and so on would be capitalized in your action lines)
- If we're seeing someone for the first time, their name is capitalized
Dialogue:
- My favorite part of the script!
- The writing software will make this bit of formatting easy, but it's always indented as shown in the screenshots, and the names are always capitalized (again, something a writing software will do for you)
- Sometimes additional text will follow the character name in parentheses such as:
- (V.O) = "voice over" <- this is typically for narration
- (O.S) = "off-screen" <- this is for when a character is in a scene but isn't in frame
- (CONT'D) = "continued" <- typically the software will add this for you if a character speaks again after an action line
- You can also use parentheticals (softwares will have a way for you to add them properly) for when you need an actor to do something specific with the line delivery or other
- For Example: (sarcastically), (shouting), (between sobs), (shrugging)
- Use them sparingly though - sometimes you can put it in an action line prior to the dialogue, you can use italics to emphasize words, or you can put the dialogue in all caps if the character is shouting or other
Other Tips:
MONTAGES - there are several different ways to do these (the way I did it in the script example is my own personal way of doing them), but typically you make note of having a montage in the action lines
TITLE CARDS - also are different ways of superimposing text on the screen that you can find online (I personally don't use this a lot so I don't honestly know the "right" way to do it, tbh)
BEATS/PAUSES - again, try to show and not tell, but you can definitely just have "a beat" in your action line if you need to either describe a silence or break up some dialogue. However, I've been instructed by professors to put some kind of action instead (For Example: "Vander shifts uncomfortably and glances away" instead of "A beat."). Helps you seem like a better writer, I guess, but it also gives the actors/characters something to do
- Read other scripts to see how they format things! For this one specifically, see how Arcane writes its scripts! Try and find PDFs or anything online that might showcase how they go about their formats because different shows will have different formats (For example: Bob's Burgers double spaces all their text for some reason). If you're writing in hopes of sending it to Riot, copying their formatting will definitely benefit you.
- But for the most part, the rules for formatting are pretty much the same across the board (Slugline formula, capitalizing character intros, indenting dialogue, having action lines, etc..) it's just depending on either the writer or the show, they might have a different style
ALSO!
I'm so sorry, I'm realizing this now as I'm writing this, but this is a TV SCRIPT so it'll have ACT BREAKS.
Most of the time, TV Shows will specify the beginning and end of an act with "ACT [#]"/"END OF ACT [#]" and there will be a way to do this on a screenwriting software.
They're typically just in the middle of the page, in all caps, bold, and underlined.
Additionally, TV shows also either have a TEASER at the beginning or a COLD OPEN.
This particular script seems like it has a teaser, with what seems to be a flashback, so you would make note of that the same way you'd make note of the acts (of which a TV show usually has four/five of).
I was formatting it like a film, my bad-
But that's about it!
Sorry this took so long to answer and that it's a lot, but hopefully some of it is helpful! And again, if you have any other questions, let me know! I've got a lot of resources and whatnot, so if you need anything my inbox and dms are open!
Good luck with your project! 🩵 Already it looks promising!
Good afternoon, I don't know when you're asking. How do you like the idea of your characters' morning routine before and after starting a relationship with Squad 99? There are definitely some changes to a more homely and warm atmosphere, like having breakfast together or something like that. It seems to me that Tay will wake up at 6-7 a.m. in the morning, and will get up with a Cross closer to lunch. And Jung is clearly armed with a comb to comb the Hunter's shaggy hair.
Hi! Sorry it took me forever to answer this ask anon - been pretty busy and I just suck at answering things </3 but I love this question!
For sure, the squad's morning routines would've changed a lot once they're settled on Pabu with their partners. Like they'd finally have the peace and freedom to just wake up when they want–not having to worry about missions or being on the run–and can enjoy the company of others.
Before, I think the Batch was used to waking up early since they're soldiers, and never really got like a full on 'breakfast' type meal unless they were like on base and getting to be in the cafeteria or something. So they'd be used to just getting up and being ready to go when the moment calls for it. Not that Crosshair is particularly happy about the fact because he is grumpy in the mornings.
But for the individual ocs there's more under the cut!
JUNG:
For Jung, when he was a Temple Guard, he was used to waking up with the rest of the Temple Guard Jedis and having a relatively slow morning, I would imagine. Since the Temple itself never saw the war first hand, there's really no rush to get up and stand guard. Like, Jung's got enough time to have a light breakfast, maybe meditate or train before he's given whatever assignment for the day.
Then when he's trapped on the labor camp, it's just hell waking up. There's alarms blaring, they're being forced out of their cells, they're given the bare minimum of food to get them through the work day, and then it's time to get shackled and sent off to the mines. He is just at his worst during these times and every morning he wakes up, it's like a question of 'why am I still alive?' At the very least, he has his cellmates, Ovis, who's become like a surrogate sibling/child to keep company with.
Then on Pabu, with Hunter and Omega, it's back to having much easier mornings. I think for the most part, he and Omega are early birds so they'll get up before Hunter and usually start on breakfast together (on the weekends Omega sleeps in though). Also the image of Jung helping comb out Hunter's hair is hilarious, I love it! He definitely helps Hunter with his hair and I can see him helping out with Omega's as well. Then they can have breakfast together and Jung is just content between the two of them, sipping on caf and listening to whatever Omega's got planned for the day.
VIRAM:
Much like the rest of the Batch, I think Viram would be used to waking up early. It's more of her being an early bird than her job calling for it - though her time as a combat medic on the field working with her dad meant a lot of bad sleeping schedules and being up early. But before her job, she would've been used to getting up and ready with the rest of her family (her parents and three younger brothers) and helping her mother get breakfast ready for her and her siblings.
Then after the war, during her time as a medic with the clone rebels and other rebels, she's not really getting a lot of sleep so her morning schedule is thrown off a little. It's unpredictable and she hates it because she likes some structure and certainty in her life. Having some caf definitely helps, but most mornings she's just fighting to stay awake alongside Echo and Chuchi as briefings and missions are being discussed amongst them.
It takes a while after the events of S3 for Viram and Echo to settle down on Pabu permanently, but when they do it's after they have their boys so Viram's mornings are chaotic, but in a good way. Echo usually gets up before her and she's finally able to sleep in a bit these days, but eventually she's dragged out of bed by her sons and helps Echo with breakfast in the kitchen. But she absolutely adores the slow and domestic mornings that she gets to have now with her family.
KHEA:
Khea used to have normal family mornings before her brother was estranged, because during that/after things became awkward for her family and instead of eating together they would just wake up whenever and it became 'every mando for themselves.' However, Khea spent a good chunk of time in the Academy so her morning routines consisted of getting up (something she hates), having breakfast with the other students in the cafeteria, and then getting to class/trainings.
After the Academy though and during the time that she's on her own/on Takodana, she wakes up when she wants to (unless she's needed by her then partner/boss, Jaawl), but typically is waking up pretty miserable, and not just because she's not a morning person. This point of her life is like rock bottom, so she's usually waking up with a hangover and in someone else's bed. Not an ideal morning routine, really.
On Pabu she is sleeping till noon if she can. Wrecker lets her and handles breakfast and the kids while she's knocked out, but she'll always wake up once she starts to smell the food. Sometimes it's the kids that manage to get her out of bed or a hungry loth cat–but most of the time Wrecker's already up and taking care of it. To which, Khea is very grateful for and she is also enjoying finally being able to have breakfast with a family again.
PHEE:
Phee's not an oc, but she's part of the batch of bad batch partners so I thought to include her here, lol.
Since Phee lives a life all over the place, I think that before she met the Batch, she was just used to waking up whenever she wanted - and it was probably someplace new every single time, considering all the adventures she goes on. Like she's never really had to worry about a set schedule, so sometimes she was waking up at the crack of dawn, or other times she's waking up in the afternoon - there's like no inbetween.
When she's on Pabu though, with Shep and Lyana, things are a bit more stable and she's waking up at a decent time with the two of them to have breakfast together. She always likes those mornings best - having a full on breakfast with them, getting to talk about her latest adventure - because other times it's just her and MEL in the quiet of her ship. MEL's great and all, but not much of a conversationalist.
Then when her and Tech get together, it's a bit of how it's always been. They wake up whenever, but sometimes they're talking or working throughout the night and by the morning they're still up. If that happens, sometimes they'll go to sleep or they'll make each other a cup of caf and power through until they eventually pass out. However, once they have kids in the picture they get better about going to bed at a reasonable time and are often woken up by their kids coming to ask for breakfast or snuggles. But for sure, Phee loves seeing Tech's brown eyes first thing in the morning.
TAY'KAA:
From the start, Tay's always been a early bird. During his time in the Cauldron as a younger Chagrian, he never really got that much sleep and was always on edge–so like the littlest things would wake him up/keep him up throughout the night. Then he'd get his rations for breakfast, just enough to keep him functional for matches, and when he gets older he adds in some training with his mentor/mom, Ko, in the mix.
During his time as a mercenary with the Black Sun and later the Empire, he's still getting up early as well to train and work out. He's just a bit restless like that - wanting to keep himself busy/distracted and wanting to stay in prime shape - but it's also just out of habit from his time in the Cauldron. Like Khea, sometimes he was also waking up in another bed - typically Crosshair's - after a night out. He'd usually then make sure all was good with whoever he went home with before taking his leave to go and check on his other mom, Nay'eli. Then when he's back home, he's making her some breakfast, getting her to take her medicine, and just taking care of her before he's called back to base.
On Pabu, it's pretty much the same. He wakes up early still to work out and take Batcher on a walk, but sometimes Crosshair's got ways of making sure Tay stays a little longer. But Crosshair's definitely not a morning person, so Tay lets him sleep in and is getting like 10 things done before Crosshair wakes up fully. Since he was already used to taking care of his mom, Tay doesn't mind getting breakfast ready in the mornings if Crosshair's wanting to eat something, and the both of them just really enjoy getting to have slow mornings together without the threat of being called in for a mission. Then of course, when Akona enters the picture, they're being waken up by her: sometimes she wants to go on the walk with Tay and other times she's kicking Tay out of the bed so she can cuddle with her Papa. Either way, Tay's not having it any other way.
Hopefully that answered your ask though! Sorry for the wait - I always enjoy these questions though because they force me to flesh out my characters a bit more and I always appreciate the interest in said ocs!
It was too long to do another prev tags and so I am scooching it here because YES. YES ABSOLUTELY YOU ARE SO RIGHT
it just??? baffles me?? He's queer and he has anxiety, why is fanon!Hunter constantly out here slavering over Conventionally Attractive Female Protagonist? Why you gotta do my boy like that :(
Look, I'll never understand cishet people and their insistence on turning characters like Hunter into daddy doms. Maybe it's because I'm aroace idk,, but like,, I get he's conventionally attractive with a nice voice but that's like it??
Like y'all know conventionally attractive people can be ace right? Like you know some people actually have other priorities over romantic relationships and sex yeah?
Omega would see all this shit and be like "Ewww why would you think that? Hunta's lame. 😖" Like siblings do.
Like, sure, I see the appeal for him being a stand in husband for you because he's good with Omega, but like,, as much as I love Dad! Hunter he's a brother first and foremost. He doesn't really know the first thing about kids and also he like,, lost Omega several times. I'd argue she saved herself more than he did honestly.
He just seems the type where flirting just goes over his head. He'll misread it and just carry on without a care. Like yeah he's got aura sometimes but he also is the type to be forced to flirt for a mission and he's mentally kicking himself in the head.
He's a slut in theory, not in practice.
Idk, maybe I'm biased because I also think he needs to be manhandled by a guy bigger and older than him as a treat.
But I think what I hate most about it is how it just boils him down to that very wrong mischaracterization - and it's particularly irking to me as an older child with lots of younger siblings because there is so much MORE to his character that is more complex and worth talking about, but nobody wants to acknowledge that it seems
BROOOOOOO the stuff i bought from your star wars store came in today I’M SO HAPPY THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU for making that bad batch bag IT MADE MY DAY
AAAAAA OMG!!
I'm so glad you love them! ☺️🩵
And omg the bag actually turned out so nice, I might just have to get one for myself 🤣
A month ago, I got a kitten, and since then, my daily routine has been as follows: I wake up 10 minutes before my alarm, clean the litter box, feed the kitten, play with it for a while before work, add food to its bowl after work, clean the litter box, play with it for a while (I try to spend at least 20-30 minutes playing with it each day), and go to bed. There's a good chance that the kitten will climb onto my pillow and sleep next to me. Not so long ago, I remembered that Khea and Wrecker have at least two cats in their family, and I have a question. What kind of variety in terms of leisure activities have these cats brought to their lives? (I'm attaching a photo of my own kitten in case you're interested)
OH MY GOD!! 😭😭
What an adorable baby!! Your kitten is so cute and I'm forever grateful for you including pictures of them, it honestly made my day! 🩵🩵 A chaotic floof-ball of cuteness! I love them!
Also, as someone who has seven cats (I know, yikes 😬) I completely get the whole routine of getting up, cleaning the litter box, feeding, and playing with the babies. And also it's always so sweet whenever you've got a cat sleeping next to you–like we honestly don't deserve them.
Also in the first photo your hand is so scratched up and I can relate to that 😭🤣
But as for your question–
Khea and Wrecker do have at least two cats! I established Dha'ika (Khea's cat she has before she meets Wrecker and the Batch) and Lula (another cat they adopt after the events of S3), but they probably have a wide assortment of several other animals and cats as well!
As for leisure activities, they enjoy doing a lot of what you can typically do with a cat. Before meeting Wrecker, Dha'ika was keeping Khea's sanity together and was one of the very few companions she had in her life. A lot of the time, they could be seen cuddling, or Khea would use tracer lasers on her blasters to play with Dha'ika.
It's funny because at first, Dha'ika wasn't a fan of Wrecker. She didn't trust him too much so it took a while for her to warm up to him. At the most she tolerates him, especially when he feeds her.
But of course they love naps! Lula loves to just stick to Wrecker and do whatever with him, and both Lula and Dha'ika both enjoy hanging out with the kiddos and keeping them in check. They especially love getting scraps from the table too 😌
Dha'ika also enjoys hanging around Khea whenever she's fixing up something. If it's like some kind of engine or other, Dha'ika will find a warm spot and curl up on it while Khea works.
Khea and Wrecker probably also just spoil their cats with all kinds of cool toys and cat towers too - they make like custom ones for their cats to hang out in, but of course the cats will just go sit in any plain old box instead or play with a piece of trash instead of the remote control rat Khea makes 🤣
But definitely the cats entertain the two, and they and their kids love them a lot and are constantly doing things with them–giving them treats, playing with them, or just cuddling.
Thank you for the ask! 🩵💫 And for the adorable pictures of your kitty!
OMG i’m so excited to see what’s on your shop ajjfjejfkwjfjwjjfs
ik you were asking about bag ideas — maybe a Clone Force 99 one?? But like black instead of the corrie guard white?? Idk food for thought 😆
Aaa thank you! I'm glad to hear that you're excited to see what's in store (pun intended) for the shop–I'm excited to add more things for y'all!
And that's a good idea, I'm for sure going to do that one alongside a 212th and 104th bag!
Fun fact: I actually started out trying to make a Clone Force 99 bag, but I couldn't get the black to work and realized it looked better as a Corrie Guard bag, lol.
But thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely add that option to the store soon!
In the meantime, if any one else has any suggestions or a certain type of product you would like to see, don't hesitate to let me know! 🩵💫
Good evening, I was reading before going to bed and I had a question. Do any of the clones and their partners enjoy reading bedtime books aloud to their partners or children (or both at the same time)? Tech seems to me to be the most obvious option in this regard, and it is possible that he mostly reads some books of a scientific nature.
Hello there! Sorry it took so long for me to answer this
Reading before bed sounds nice! I really should do that more often–
But to answer your question, yes! I would think that they do enjoy reading bedtime books before bed to their partners and/or children.
Tech for sure does, but I think each family would enjoy reading/telling stories one way or another as well.
Putting a more detailed answer below the cut 😌
Guardians:
I think that Omega would like to hear stories about Jung's time as a Jedi and Hunter would enjoy listening as well
When Jung was enslaved in a labor camp, he would tell stories about the Jedi to pass the time to his cellmate, so he'd be used to telling these kinds of stories to Omega and later his kids
Hunter sticks to reading bedtime books to the kids though because I feel like he's really bad at telling stories off the top of his head (he'll have to back track a lot and stop to rephrase things, so it ends up just being really hard to follow)
Like I can see Hunter reading some children's bedtime book with that great voice of his surrounded by his kiddos with Jung next to them–reading until they all end up passing out
Scompscope:
Echo's kiddos definitely want to hear stories about Echo's time during the clone wars - but of course, Echo only tells them about the less traumatic aspects of that time and instead talks about heroics that either he, Fives, Rex, or other members of the 501st got up to
Either those stories or he'll tell a bunch of embarrassing stories about his brothers from the 501st and the Bad Batch so long as his boys promise not to tell anyone that Echo had told them those stories
Viram enjoys hearing these stories too, so she'll leave the story telling to Echo for the most part – it's nice to hear about the good memories from such a tragic, terrible time, so Viram appreciates it
If her boys do ask for a bedtime story though, sometimes she'll pull out medical textbooks and start reading from those and that easily gets the boys to knock out from boredom
Starburst:
Both Khea and Wrecker would enjoy telling bedtime stories to their kids, and I think their kids would love it to the point where they can't really sleep without some kind of bedtime story from either parent
Wrecker will read them bedtime books and essentially put on a whole production because he'll act out characters or do funny/different voices for each character
Sometimes this gets the kids too into the story and they get riled up so they end up not going to sleep and instead stay up and have fun acting out the story or listening to Wrecker
On the other hand, Khea will tell them stories that she heard from her Buirs growing up and relate a bunch of Mandalorian folktales and stories
TechPhee:
Storytime is a MUST at the Genoa household and they definitely love bedtime for the reason that they get to hear stories from their parents
Of course, Phee is always telling stories about her adventures and is always animated and passionate in her storytelling - sometimes it riles their kids up and they get excited instead of sleepy, but always it has Tech looking at Phee with heart eyes
On the other hand, when it's Tech's turn to tell a story, he'll read bedtime books to his kids, or go on a yap session about whatever topic his kids want to hear about and that usually gets them to fall asleep pretty quickly
Their son, Rangi, loves stories and wants to be an author so he really enjoys hearing all these different stories and books from his parents and will fight to stay awake to hear the end of them sometimes (he rarely wins these battles)
Sharpshooters:
Fun fact, Tay is actually illiterate so he'd rather tell bedtime stories than read them - though by the time Akona enters his and Crosshair's life, he's learned enough to easily read those children bedtime books to her (they're good practice for him)
Whenever Tay does read to Akona, Crosshair can't help but be proud and he finds it incredibly (and strangely) soothing - so sometimes Crosshair ends up falling asleep listening to Tay read before Akona does
Crosshair does like to read to Akona too if Tay's too tired to do so - and don't tell anyone but he enjoys doing little funny voices for some of the different characters in the books to make Akona giggle or laugh
If he's not reading her a bedtime story though, Crosshair will tell her embarrassing stories about his brothers that may or may not be entirely true, but she loves them and Tay loves seeing them both laugh
Hope these answered your question! Thinking about them being all domestic and soft always warms my heart and makes me so happy 🥹
