Genius
6 issues in 1968. This cannot be the eponymous italian series drawn by Milo Manara (among others) that was only published in 1969. A second french series is issued in 1972 (and it contained “Kriminal” ) and circa 1977, a third, that contained the real italian “Genius”drawn my Manara.. So what? Where does this first french series come from?

Dennis Cobb - Agent SS 018
Created by Max Bunker (script) and Magnus (pencils, inks), this italian espionage comics was published in french language in three main series.
SS 018 (1st series) - 13 issues [July, 1966 - September 1967]
SS 018 (2nd series) - 3 issues [1968/1969]
Denis Cobb Agent SS 018 - 4 issues [1978]
The two first were published at Editions de Poche (publishing director:Max Canal), the third at Editions Belle France (publishing director:André Guerber). In between, numerous episodes of Denis Cobb issued in comics pockets but Cobb/SS018 was never mentioned on the covers - this insufficiently listed material was mainly published at Elisa Presse (publishing director:G. Santini)

HIPPY
Fine comics pocket book serie featuring various complete stories from different sources and countries (including many Archie Andrews strips). The material (same characters) was used first by Max Canal for different other collections (Teddy Boy, Campus Girl, Lucky) at his Editions de Poche label. Here, circa 1969, it is published on a subsidiary label of his.

In the Archie stripes we can read the complete name of the french Archie: Robert Morin.
