main f2 controversies/gossip: - amaury cordeel grooming underage girls on twitter - santino ferrucci using a smartphone while in the cockpit leading to his ban from the series. also using racialised insults against his then teammate arjun maini (brother of kush maini) - cian shields is a pay driver - max esterson one of the first going through the sim racing to pro racing pipeline - richard verschoor was forced by his sponsors to do half a decade of f2 hell, stagnating his career because they wouldnt sponsor series that weren't f2 or f1, and he turned into one of the most hated drivers of the series because he was never gonna make it to f1 and should have moved on to another series but kept staying in f2. he's gone for 2026 tho main f3 controversies/gossip: - sophia florsch saying f1a isn't real racing and that any real girl racers who wanted to get to f1 should do it her way, by going through the frec/f4/f3/f2 ranks - ugo ugochukwu is lying about being shorter than he is (claims to be around 1,96 (also officially on sites and databases etc), is actually more like 2,10 or 2,15) because teams are refusing to give him test time or seats because of his height. he also races completely without livery or helmet designs for weight saving reasons because of his height. - freddie slater is a pay driver, but he's also like, racing jesus (actually good) so it's ok

for both series the mechachrome engine likes to explode sometimes so it's leaded to conspiracy theories that there are good and bad teams like in f1 but don't be fooled, this is still a spec series and the cars and teams are in fact equal. if your driver is p20 under these conditions that's his fault and you just gotta own it
