#28DaysofPeace has begun!!!!!
Day 1: Miracle Morning, MHM, and read 2 chapter
Miracle Morning honestly almost didn’t happen. Sorry not sorry.
I fucked it up though 😜👌🏾
It was fucking great! Yoga, positive affirmations, and reading.
I’m currently reading Hollow City!!! I miss reading guys you don’t understand😩 All my books are at my mom’s and they wouldn’t fit in here if I wanted 😞 so I wait and alternate ♻️ (heheh that rhymed).
Yoga was simple downward dog, downward dog split, warrior 1, plank, cat, cow, child’s pose. Child’s pose is honestly my fave for my tight shoulders😊😩.
MHM is working its magic on my tresses💕 again 😅slowly it’s becoming less frizzy and soft. I said I’d go into details and I’m totally a lady of my word so here it goes. The short and sweet of it is:
This is great for kinky girls or 4c girls, if you’re into typing, with low porosity (doesn’t hold moisture well) hair. The method has 5 steps that you follow everyday for the first 7 days, then every 1-3 days until you reach “70%” hydration, and final every 1-5 until you reach “maximum hydration”.
The pre step is called a Cherry Lola treatment I skip this step because the official website says it’s no different than step 1 and you even skip step 1 when you do this every 2 weeks aaaannnnnnnnd it uses stuff I don’t typically have on hand.
Each step you evenly distribute from root to tip and leave on for 15-60 min.
The first step is costing your hair with a mixture of baking soda and conditioner. Using 1-2 tbs of baking soda to every 1-2.5 oz of conditioner and 4-8 oz of water. If you’re not a kinky girl or it strips your curls dial down the baking soda to 1-2 tsp. I do this and skip the water and this lifts your cuticles to let more moisture in💦 and also relieves you of frizz which equals less bulk. A lot of ladies stop this step because that especially looser textures I personally love it because I have bulk to spare🙃 and you can alternate with a acv rinse which I will try and update.
Step 2 is cowashing and finger detangling. You can deep condition overnight, under a dryer, or warm the conditioner in 15 sec increments in the microwave but don’t let it get watery that’s too warm. Either way you finger detangling the whole way, put you your hair up, nourish, and rinse.
Step 3 is a clay rinse, you can use bentonite, rhassoul, red, zeolite, etc. you’ll need 1 cup of clay, 2-3 cups of water, 1 tbs of honey, and 1 tbs of olive oil. You want it to be thick but liquidy think a light moisturizer.
Step 4 is a leave in which can just be 1-2 oz of conditioner and 5-8 oz of water you may like it more thick or watery 😊.
We are at the finish line step 5 is a botanical gel. I do this and step 4 while my hair is soaking wet. You can just apply the gel, LCO, or a water-based cream styler. I’ve made my own out of Flaxseeds and used eco styler gel both work well.
With each step you want to rake and separate like your life depends on it or else it will clump in big frizzy sections.
There are “approved” products for each step but I use what I know works and I can afford. I make most of my hair products anyway.
