Coming out of hibernation, Throne of Blood returns to the dancefloor with three off-kilter originals from Liudas Lazauskas aka Roe Deers. Rounding out this latest digital only offering are three scorching remixes, each leaning into different elements of the title cut, “Hide and Seek.” After an epic 2018 that saw a string of releases and remixes on Omnidisc, Ombra, Nein, Rotten City, Sulk Magic and many more, the Vilnius, Lithuania based Roe Deers has established a distinctive sound that’s hypnotically trippy but shot through with an almost goth darkness. On remix duties we’ve recruited the secretive Vyvyan who made his debut last year remixing erstwhile TOB contributor Paul Woolford for Man Power’s Me Me Me. Pin Up Club! (Phantasm, Bordello A Parigi) fuse “Hide And Seek” with some dubbed out keys and subbass rumble. The final refix from label manager Max Pask and his studiomate, DFA’s Juan Maclean scour the track down to its barest elements with a storming acid groove.
