Honestly I know MaxAvery has been like the “main” for majority of episodes and they are cute together but it doesn’t feel as gratifying. Obviously because it’s supposed to be ody3, but also because it felt so rushed and out of place? Like it felt so sudden and jarring somehow and I can’t fully place how but can someone tell me I’m not alone 🫠😭

since doctor odyssey is coming back this thursday here are some things i want to say.

- the first ep alone made me a maxavery but now i'm an ody3 truther!!

- tristian & vivian would've been so cute together tbh but i'm glad she told him that she didn't want to be a second option for him

- i do think avery was being pushy with wanting to continue the 3sums but i understand her. in the second ep she stated how she didn't really get to have a lot of fun so i get why she wanted to continue

- my thing is with the quackers episode is that they essentially agreed to wanting to continue doing 3sums with each other but then max & tristian shifted their answers. i get the whole them wanting monogamy & starting a family but come on it's not going to last long b4 they realize they all want each other

- ppl are mad at max for the shark attack promo with the scene where avery goes to his room which i get but i'm holding on to my theory that's it's a huge misunderstanding

- avery looked so sad when she discovered the woman in max's room so i'm thinking she was going to tell him abt her decision with her pregnancy & medical school

- at the end of the finale i would like if the ody3 got together. this is probably the last time they'll see each other so i want them to go home with max so baddd

- athena is coming on the ship bc of a heist during the finale so let her smack some sense into max for him to go after what he truly wants

- i do think there's going to be a lot of tension between the ody3 & they're going to try to hide it but everyone's going to know something is off

- tristian said in 1 i think abt how it's forbidden to date on the ship but i doubt the captain gaf since he knows. in my mind he's rooting for him but in secret

my second unpopular opinion on the inheritance games kind of counters my first one (re: no one should have ended up together)

and its that max and avery should have had Something going on

like in my heart they’re kinda gay for each other

maybe it was just a past mutual crush they were scared to act on or a future realization or something in between

but i wish canonically there was something fruity amiss with them

having a crush on, or even ending up in a long term relationship with, your bsf is one of the most universal sapphic experiences

and absolutely nothing would have impacted me more than if when max asked avery the cliff question, instead of seeing grayson or jameson, she saw max but couldn’t bring herself to say it

like the dramaaa, the heart acheee, the yearninggg would have been on a completely different level for me personally (as someone who went through something similar)

this episode solidified at least for me that maxavery might be a thing or not by the end of the season. immediately he went up to her & apologized but she put her foot down & told him she didn't expect him to be a father. max saying he wants a family with aves..brooke coming into the infirmary & avery being jealous of max even interacting with another woman. went to his room only to see brooke & getting the wrong idea. max telling aves how he wasn't planning on doing anything with brooke. avery saying how seeing them together made her think that she doesn't want a future family with him despite him wanting one with her. now in the finale she's sailing 2 hours away to get help for spencer & could potentially get injured on her way there. oh this is so heartbreaking.
