D, i heard the most crazy thing the other day: Max Gerson created some dietary supplemant or something like that to cure cancer????!!!! have you heard about this?
Yeah; it is a crazy claim.
I've heard of Max, but not about his "cure."
Here are the facts: There is no (known) dietary supplement that cures Cancer; Cancer is a very complex disease that affects many different cells and systems in the body. There are also wide-ranging causes for cancer, from environmental exposures to genetic defects/mutations, to our diets and lifestyles. Diet is not a cure or 100% prevention for cancer; but you can eat a diet that's low in carcinogens and high in fiber which reduces the risk of some cancers such as colorectal cancers, you can also avoid smoking and second-hand smoke to reduce your cancer risk. But since Cancer is basically the unregulated production of cells and most of our cells are in a constant state of mitosis we're always at risk of cancer. So simply eat a healthy diet, reduce your exposure to carcinogens, don't smoke, and drink in moderation; you can't 100% prevent cancer, nor is there a food or supplement that will cure your cancer (that's been discovered); but you can greatly reduce your risk of developing cancer and even your chances of surviving cancer if you make healthy choices. Anyone telling you they have a food or pill that will prevent or cure your cancer is scamming you.
