“Y’all ive gotta say I’m still super pissed off about Oksana Domina and Maxim Shamblin [Shabalin]’s 2010 Original Dance. You guys can scream cultural appropriation with riverdances and bollywood but dressing up as Aboriginal Australians/Islanders and trying to recreate traditional dances to the most atrociously bad and inaccurate music is inconceivable. It’s not like there was a GENOCIDE or anything.”
World Junior Champions who became World Champions in Ice Dancing
Back in 1976 the World Junior Figure Skating Championships  were first held. Today the 40th World Junior Championships 2017 start. The question always is who could get to be not only the Junior World Champion but also can achieve that in the Senior ranks. Here are those skaters who made it!
Oksana Domnina/Maxim Shabalin(RUS) - 2003 World Junior Champions & 2009 World Champions
Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir (CAN) - 2006 World Junior Champions & 2010 and 2012 World Champions
Due to all the splits that happen in ice dance only 2 couples ever managed to get a Gold together in Junior and Senior Worlds. Others achieved world junior and world senior titles with different partners though.
