Samurai Gunn

Samurai Gunn is one of the most accessible fighting games you’ll find. It has nearly no learning curve, nothing you need to know before you begin to feel in control; timing, reflexes and strategy alone determine the outcome. Yet it is not a game that tires quickly. This balance is achieved by adhering to simple combat mechanics, while relying on freedom of movement and interactive arenas to provide endless variations in the fighting.

max temkin - week 4

a couple weeks ago we got to visit “some office” and listen to max temkin, one of the co-creators of cards against humanity, tell us about himself and muse a bit on kickstarter.

a lot of his projects, including cards, secret hitler, and slap 45 (to name a few) have all utilized Kickstarter one way or another. when him an his friends started out with cards, they didn’t know the demand would be so high or that such a community would be created because of it. kickstarter allowed him to not only bring the idea to life in a more expansive way, but also literally kickstarted his journey into life as a serial business/project creator. i can only hope for the same thing for myself. seriously, he’s got some cool stuff going on and i want some equally cool stuff too.

This week, Emi Spicer, Jonathan Mann, and Adelle Lin have a few drinks and play with deadly weapons in Samurai Gunn. We try out a new format sans gaming news quiz for a new and improved(???) shorter episode format. Going forward, the gaming news quiz will be conducted on Twitter with the possibility of winning steam game code prizes!
