And we made it to 34 months....two months away from 3! This was truly one of the best months ever, especially getting to take Max to the bay beach, lots of swimming, and learning how to ride his bike in the driveway. (It also didn’t hurt that we managed to flag down the ice cream truck once or twice.....Max is definitely an ice cream sandwich fan!) We have also seen a lot more of Max’s personality, which means we have a sweet little boy on our hands with a lot of laughter and a touch of rebellion. From creating rock collections during his driveway biking to creating new games with several of his toys, Max has shown an interest and enthusiasm for life. This month we are looking forward to Max returning to preschool (and Matt returning to work), along with finishing up the remnants of summer as much as possible. Maxwell, you really make it so much fun for us as parents. We look forward to seeing what you teach us next. Breezing through the summer at 33 months old! Things have certainly been quite different this year, yet Max has continued to thrive and surprise! We have seen a lot more of Maxwell’s personality shine through, whether it be his love of cars, music, books, and the latest one: clapping & cheering during “Supermarket Sweep” reruns. Max has also shown a love of helping out Mommy & Daddy with laundry, preferring to put the clothes in the washer and dryer. (He also loves putting in the dryer sheet!) Outdoors, Max loves picking the ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, followed by swimming in the “big pool” and riding on the red boogie board. For the remainder of summer, definitely a lot more of all the above, as well as Max’s other favorite love: the bay beach. Max, while this summer is a lot different than the past ones, you have proven to be the most easy-going little man. 32 months for the books....and summer is here! Max has been quite busy since summer started with all the fun a toddler could have. Lots of outdoor playtime, swimming, and eating delicious treats have been part of it. We also have quite a little singer who loves to regale us with “Baa Baa Black Sheep” & “Head, Shoulders, Knees, & Toes.” Also evidenced by this picture, Max got a haircut, courtesy of Daddy! In this next month Max plans to work on his tan, try his hand at playing more of Daddy’s musical instruments, and living life to the fullest! Summer is on the horizon....and 31 months are behind us! The warmer weather has finally arrived and Max gets to enjoy his favorite summer activity: swimming! From his kiddie pool to the big pool, there has been a lot of playtime outside. We have also gotten a lot more storytelling, gardening, neighborhood strolls, music, joining Daddy in his classes, and a love of cupcakes. (Thanks @wickedkitty13 & @jeffreycorcione for that one....Max is still raving about them!) Within the next month we are hoping to flag down that ice cream truck, let Max work on his tan, and enjoy the very things that make living where we live great. And here we are at 30 months.....2.5 years old already! Max has definitely enjoyed the extra time with Mommy & Daddy this month, especially when the outdoors are involved. Sidewalk chalk, the backyard playground, and wagon rides have become the norm as we get nice days. And even on chillier days, Max still loves exploring outside (especially with the rocks in our front yard). On indoor days, Max loves to come up with his own playtime games & scenarios. Instead of “Five Little Monkeys” jumping on the bed, it’s “Five Little Play-Dohs” or “Five Little Peppers”. (And yes, he actually has the props to demonstrate the song.) Counting games have also become a daily occurrence. Max definitely shows an interest in numbers. Hopefully as warmer months approach, we can get Max outside even more! I mean, garden and pool time are coming. Maxwell, you have been such a sweet and understanding little man during this time. You also continue to thrive and dream. Keep that imagination wild, babaloo.
