its really kinda fucked up that both zev’s and leliana’s personal quests in dao boil down to “help me kill my same gender ex”

in fact, i might even go so far as to say they are the same quest tied up in different packages. the general gist is that your LI has an ex who caused them to run off to ferelden through betrayal, and the ex has returned and your Li wants to kill them.

wynne gets to reconnect with her student and alistair gets to try to form bonds with his estranged family but the two bisexual characters get the same damn  homophobic quest

I’m lost

I mean I never really knew where I was in the first place, but I’ve also never been this lost before.

I’m also hurt. 

But that’s not new either. People let me down all the time. 

At least I got this black girl magic.

Out of my ashes, I’ll burn brighter than before. 

But until then, I’m going to wallow in my ashes. 

Focus on my magic.

Someone might have already had this idea but:

Beauty and the Beast where the dad (imma refer to him as ‘Maurice’ for simplicity’s sake) either doesn’t tell his kids what happened or strikes out before Beauty does. Where Maurice is the one knocking on the Beast’s gates. 

The Beast is not big on this at first, but Maurice grows on them over time. And Maurice goes from fear and anger at this powerful, unbeatable monster threatening his family to even pity and sympathy for this lost child.

And without warning, months later, the curse breaks, because familial love is love, too.
