woke up and clicked on the for you page by accident. was pleasantly surprised to be swarmed by viral tweets acclaiming Tom and pushing back on the hate train. and even more so, understanding the point of the character and his acting.

I hate it turned into a whole gimmick like "unpopular opinion but Tom was good" it's giving too much credits to the negative response like it's the consensus when, IT. IS. NOT 😭 How the fuck did it turn into that when we know exactly where the negative reactions came from and it gained traction only because Tom will cause conversation every single time. It's so passive aggressive and like they're saying it out of pity. It's the same thing with all the compliment he gets about spider-man like "Unpopular opinion but he's not bad spider-man". It's not unpopular my god his movies make billions and he's the longest lasting and beloved by the majority. Why can't you just highlight the positive without making it like something only you think like it's some kind of rarity to like what he's doing my god

It’s so tiring. his haters are so loud and persistent that they make their opinions seem like the popular one. It’s so annoying because audiences have always loved him, and it’s only losers online that say that shit. Idk how many more “he was always good” reposts I have in me

This is not meant as a Z shade because I think she's amazing and so happy they're happy together, But it's true, the way so many people shifted their opinion on Tom when they relationship became more and more public, you can't deny it. Couple years ago they were indifferent at best, 2018-2021 it was mostly normal. but now you have her fans actively wanting to be loud about how much they despise him. It's only to uplift her, it happens often with the significant other of a famous person. It's not honest opinion shared in good faith. 

I also think that Tom became for some reason the easy target for jokes and bc people are sheep' and looking for entertainment, it's easy to dog pull on him. It's like he's the Cleveland of actors, for many it's not because they can actually list valid reasons to hate on it, it's just part of an immature game. 

Like you I've seen multiple people defending him but I'm not sure it's doing any good, now the only thing you see is people blowing out of the proportion the negative response when it's not accurate at all. It's just adding fuel to the fire even if it's coming from a good place 🙃

Yeah Z’s fans are very intense and there’s a subsection of them that have a weird attitude towards Tom where they either deeply hate him or don’t see him as more than her accessory that they should constantly humble and make him out to be dumb or something. There’s been a pattern where a lot of the time I’ll see a hate post and when i go to their account I see that they are a fan of hers.

Of course it’s not all of them but this is just an observation I’ve made over the years. It’s very odd that some of her husband’s biggest haters are her own fans. I try to just ignore it and I even debated posting this openly because I don’t want to piss anyone off but this is just me giving my observations.
