“Here ya go sweets” Jake says as he hands me my beer he bought me. This Jake is different. He seems less arrogant and more genuine. I guess it’s just cause the rest of the team isn’t here. I take a swig of my beer smiling at him.

“Thanks bagman”

The rest of the night the team never showed up which was very odd cause we are always here on a Friday night. Jake and I just played few rounds of pool and darts. Me winning at all them. This was actually nice for once not having Jake push my buttons. Why couldn’t Jake be like this more often. I go to the restroom and as I’m opening the door penny is standing in the door way. Smirking at me.

“So on a date with Jake” she smiles.

“N-no no way penny. He just owed me a beer cause he finally listened to me at training this morning.”

“Girl from the bar definitely a date.” I blush looking down at my feet.

“Well he just sees me as a teammate nothing else. So it’s just a friendly beer penny.” She smirks at me. Clearly knowing something I don’t.

I roll my eyes at her and walk back to Jake while he is racking the balls.

“I thought you might’ve ran out the restroom window Sting” he chuckled.

“No penny was just talking to me.” He looked behind me then back to me. He runs his hand at the back of his neck. Nervous? Hangman? No way. I take another swig of my beer.

“Want another one I can buy this one.” I lift my empty beer bottle up at him.

“Sure. Thanks sweets.”

“Girl he can’t stop looking at you. Just go for it.”

“Penny stop he doesn’t think of me like that it’s just a friendly beer nothing else.”

“Well usually the rest of the squad would be here if it was just a friendly beer Y/N” she says as she hands me both my beers. I turn to walk back to Jake when I see Phoenix and Rooster outside the window doing kissy faces and then they run off when they notice me.

“What the heck was those to doing?” Handing Jake his beer and he just is clammy. I put my hand on my hip.

“Okay bagman what the hell is wrong with you. Why are you so nervous? I haven’t even gotten one smart mouth comment since we been here.” I asked he just looked shocked.

“I I I”

“Spit it out hangman. Lord your never this bad did something happen after training?”

“Stinger , I have a confession.” Jake takes a long swig of his beer.”

“What the hell is it?”

“No one has ever made me feel like this and I heard what you was telling penny sorry for ease dropping but I needed to know if you was ditching me or what. But I never have only just seen you as a teammate. I pick on you cause it’s fun. I love getting you all roused up.”

“Wait so all this was actually a date?” I said now me being the one shocked. He moves closer towards me while my butt is pushed up against the pool table. Why am I so nervous. My heart is gonna pop right out of my chest. He smells so good the mixture of his cologne and jet fuel was so intoxicating.

“Well sweetheart if you want it to be a date I wouldn’t have taken you just to the hard deck.” He smirks leaning in closer to my ear and he whispers sending me over the edge.

“I would’ve taken you to my house and cooked you a nice meal.” He takes his beer up to his lips and watching me as he sips his beer. He neck muscles are flexing and moving while he swallows he chuckles making me look at him.

“If you take a picture it would last longer.” He smirks

“Maybe I will.” I smirk getting my phone out my pocket and I see a text from Phoenix

Phoenix: from here looks like y’all better get to his house no one wants to see y’all fuck each other on the pool table. Deets tomorrow.

I look up and around to see the rest of the squad at a near by table and they all lift there beers up. I roll my eyes. Was this just a plan to get us to finally talk.

“Well wanna get out of here?” Jake says looking down at me.

“Thought you never would’ve asked. Let’s go.”

My villagers had very different reaction to the rain today :

-Julian was very annoyed that his hair got ruined, basicaly being full on drama mode;

-Marina was singing on the beach, whimsical, lovely, 10/10, would watch again;

-Clay is just fishin some fishies, no thoughts, head empty;

-Bam is just absolutely positive, being the sun of life as alway.

I never fully digested this guy’s death. Like in my brain it’s “oh didn’t happen”. I also used to idolize these two and their actors when I was little and using HP as an escape mechanism and saw them at a convention and nearly cried but didn’t have enough money to meet them. ANYWAY rip freddie :(
