I recently came across and brought home a cute Chac Mool figure. It is believed that these statues were used in temples as places for sacrificing, and is a warrior statue. My questions are
1-Is it PC to integrate him at all in my practices or should I just let him be a cool lil statue guy on my shelves?
2-WHAT ON EARTH would I use him for? I am not a warrior, and I don’t sacrifice children. I gave him a half dollar coin to hold for now while I figure this out, in his little bowl. Help???
I'm half Cuban. Never really knew what that meant. I always thought it was like a synonym of Mexican. I've been looking up history a little. The tribes that were there before the Spanish invaded were the Taino/Arawakan. Which were from South America and migrated to Central America. Oh, man. What have I been missing. That's so messed up. If I'm part Taino then learning the Taino language would be awesome. I don't know if my Cuban grandparents know what their ancestry is... And my Mother said Cuban is "just white" which is horrifying. Really regret asking her.
