(Listen, this show has overtaken my brain already and I definitely vote MayaRose for second pairing! So, to get it out of my mind, have fun with this ;))

Give me a good night and a good morning

“Pretty boy, hu?”

Maya had been almost asleep when the amused words woke her up again.

“Hmmm?”

She turned, eyes half open, just to see Rose sitting down next to her, the mattress dipping under her weight. Her hair was still a bit wet and Maya watched a drop of water wander down her throat and across her collarbone in her haziness.

Distracted, she reached out to touch what had mesmerised her so much but her hand got caught millimetres before her goal in a strong grip.

A strong but tender grip, she was reminded of as Rose raised her hand to her lips for a sniff kiss, sending shivers down Maya’s spine.

“So”, Rose repeated, “Pretty boy?”

Slowly, Maya’s brain caught up with the question, the memory of a very pretty boy accompanying her Goddess and Queen Rose at the bar a few hours before.

“Yes”, she shrugged and got up, enough to lean on her elbow and blink at Rose slowly, “He is, isn’t he? Especially with that bruise. Did you give him that?”

Rose laughed out loud at that, still holding Maya’s hand between her own with no intention to let go.

“I wish! He would deserve it, the bastard. But no, he knows too much about the law to let me get away with it. Although, if I had a good reason ...”

Maya finally decided to follow her urges and sat up properly, shuffled close and reached out with her right hand, brushing away the drop which had stopped at Rose’s collarbone.

“So, who is he?”

Satisfied with completing her first goal, Maya let her fingers wander upwards, into Rose’s hair, curling around a strand of it.

“A patron?”, Rose answered absentmindedly, lowering their intertwined hands to her lap, the smooth fabric of her silken night shirt like another embrace, “A brother? A supporter? A friend?”

“A lot of names for just one man.”

“Indeed. But he is a pretty boy, isn’t he?”

“Enough of this man!”, Maya growled and dragged Rose into her own arms, “I don’t want to hear anymore of him when I have my goddess next to me.”

A giggle escaped Rose as she melted into Maya’s embrace, showing a vulnerable side she wouldn’t let anyone else see. It always made Maya proud when this happened and it had been happening more and more.

“I didn’t know you would come over tonight”, she murmured, enjoying Rose’s face buried into the crook of her neck, “Are you okay?”

“Mhm”, Rose admitted but also didn’t, releasing a deep sigh.

“What do you need?”

There was a pause and Maya wondered if Rose had already fallen asleep but the soft body in her arms grew a bit tense, as if Rose wasn’t sure how her words would be received.

“Sleep, I guess”, she finally replied, “For once.”

“Mhm”, Maya nodded, letting the words sink in. It was rare for them to have no sex when either stayed over but she wouldn’t kick Rose out for that. She’d never kick Rose out for anything, that much was clear. As if she’d be so insane when she could have this woman in her arms.

And, to be honest, she was tired and sleepy as well, the night on stage for once an exhausting one.

“Sure”, Maya leaned back to look at Rose, “Let’s go to sleep then.”

It didn’t take more than a few seconds for Rose to kiss her, hands cupping her chin, pulling her close as they slowly lied down again. Those were slow kisses, lazy ones, lips dragging against lips as if they had an eternity for themselves.

And bit by bit, as Rose lied on top of Maya, her weight a familiar comfort, their breaths grew deeper, their kisses sloppier, until Rose slid off of her but never lost contact.

“Hey”, Maya whispered, brushing some hair to the side and letting her thumb rest at the corner of Rose’s eyes, “Sleep well my Queen.”

Releasing a last chuckle, Rose snuggled closer and drifted off to sleep, her arm lying across Maya’s chest. And Maya couldn’t have wished for a greater happiness.

Maya woke up to peppered kisses along her throat, her cheek, sending shivers across her skin.

It could have been anyone, really, but it was Rose’s face she woke up to. Her Lady pushed herself a bit more, hair a bit of a mess, proof of the deep sleep she’d had and a determined smile on her lips.

“Good morning”, Rose greeted her and pulled her in for a kiss.

“Mornin’”, Maya replied with a half moan as Rose’s hand wandered down, squeezing her breast, her waist, finally reaching her thighs.

There was something like a question in Rose’s eyes and Maya replied with a biting kiss, not even fully awake but eager and ready. And as Rose kissed her again, hard and demanding, her hand finally inside her pants, stroking her, playing with her, making her scream.

There was no coherent thought left, but Maya knew, as she felt the older woman around her, on top of her, inside of her, that this moment right there was heaven. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
